Following another book auction - most amusing - dealers trying to bump up prices like crazy. Only a few things have gone reasonably. What I will never understand is people bidding up crappy copies - I wouldn't even have them in my collection for any money - unless it's so rare that that's the only way you can have it. The Ghost and Mrs. Muir first edition is like that - virtually no copies anywhere in anything but a fair dust jacket.

I'm a condition freak, though - which is why a handful of dealers come here when I'm in a selling mood - they know I have the best copies anywhere.

Since BK's post above made me feel like hearing this theme song -

So sweet that Scruffy's agent got him that special "and SCRUFFY" billing.

DR RODZINSKI the new neighbors are doing fine.

I think Mr. New Neighbor wears his Colts Jersey and sports shorts to work he usually gets home about 3:30 p.m.  Mrs New Neighbor is a nurse and gets home about 5 pm.

I mentioned to them on Tuesday that there is No Parking on their side of the street but they could park in front of my house if they wished.  I mentioned the signs further down the street that they may not have noticed.

They said Thank You.......[old annoying man neighbor - understood NOT spoken].

You'd think they'd be grateful for the info.

[Later edit]. Hmm, maybe I read your post wrong and they were indeed grateful?

Couldn't they have gotten ticketed for where they were parking?

We needed two copies of “Feel So Good” in our house because one of my sisters and I each had to have one.

Food on its way, although driver is making stops along the way - if it arrives cold, I'm not paying for it.

This DoorDash driver is nowhere near here - he's now had my food in his car for forty minutes. I will be contacting support unless by some miracle it's still warm - reheating soup in the microwave ruins the soup, same with the kid-size pizza that's coming - no way to reheat and have it taste good.

I mean this yokel is still twenty minutes - that's an hour my food has been in his car and that's IF I'm next.

I just read that two surfers attempted to save Malcolm-Jamal Warner and his eight year old daughter.  One surfer saved the daughter, the other had to be resuced, alon with Warner, by lifeguards.  On the beach CPR was given to Warner for 45 minutes before they gave up.  The surfer was treated at the hospital and released.

Does anyone else have State Farm Insurance on the car?

They have completely changed the way they send a bill and the declarations of coverage and it is most confusing and annoying.

I guess I have to go visit my agent next week.  UGH!

I have to find new home and auto insurance because the company this agent has had me with for several years is getting out of the home coverage business. State Farm has been tops on my list to try next, just because I hear more good than bad about them, but I'll also see what the agent comes up with in a few days.

I asked Keith since he handles it.  We pay online and he hasn't noticed a difference, plus he can easily see the coverage.  He is curious what you are finding different.

Over the years we have mostly been pleased with them.  Right now our car insurance has gone up more than we think it should be.
