I like creamy pasta sauces, fettuccine alfredo and creamy tomato.   Sometimes I like a plain marinara.

I love this story!

Stephen Colbert quietly stepped into a small rescue shelter in New Jersey — with only 48 hours remaining before it would close, and all the dogs inside would be taken away. The bills were unpaid. The owner had given up hope.
But then, the 61-year-old singer — a legend known for his steadfast integrity and strong principles — walked straight to the back, where an 11-year-old Labrador mix named Buddy lay frail and forgotten. He knelt beside him, gently stroking him and whispering words of comfort.
Then, standing up and looking around, he asked, “How many dogs are here?”
A voice replied, “Thirty-nine.”

Colbert’s voice rang out, calm yet resolute: “All 39 of you deserve a tomorrow.”
The very next day, delivery trucks began arriving one after another — bringing new beds, fresh flooring, medical supplies, food, and toys. Above every kennel, a new sign appeared: “Forever Home — with love from Colbert.”

And Buddy? Colbert adopted him on the spot. He smiled and said, “He’s been waiting too long. Now it’s my turn to be here for him.”
Colbert didn’t just save a shelter. He saved 39 beating hearts, giving them hope, dignity, and a future.

Hopefully, it's a true story!

(Colbert isn't a singer.)

Wasn’t gonna say anything but it has the ring of AI fantasy.

Her gravy was light vs a heavy gravy.

Keith & I love the song, and then we named our cats Bogie and Bacall.

Scrooged is one I’d call “unwatchable.”

I hope DR George doesn't agree with you ;D

Bacall was the stepdaughter of one of my second cousins twice removed on my Dad's side. She's one of two movie celebrities on my family tree, both related only by marriage, but what the hey.

The other is Oliver Hardy, the first husband of the wife of a different second cousin twice removed on my Dad's side.

I have a boring family history, but my kids have both a president and a pirate captive who led a mutiny in the family.

I liked Marlon Brando in that movie.

Dozed off for ninety minutes. Watching an old Jack Webb-produced show I've never seen - The D.A. with Robert Conrad and his twin William Conrad. :) Not that good, but I love the guest stars they get - and, of course, all the location footage is close to Universal. Right now, they're at Moorpark Pharmacy a block west of Tujunga on Moorpark - that was there for thirty years before going out of business in the nineties. I remember it well, right near the classic taco place on Tujunga and Moorpark that had to move down the street after fifty years of being there.

It is still cool, even if you are related by marraige.  It is also interesting.

Having the rest of the creamy tomato soup for a snack and pill two, then later I may just have to have a damn piece of pie!

Wonder if Lauren Bacall enjoyed that song when it came on her AM radio.

Michelle Pfeiffer comically described it as awkward when the second line of "Uptown Funk" came on the radio or speakers-
"This hit, that ice cold / Michelle Pfeiffer, that white gold"
- and she'd be driving the car pool for her kids, or she'd be in an exercise class. :)
