The cedar pollen count is now over 20,000 and I can feel it. Ugh.

I get very anxious when we are towing the camping trailer. We've found that a canned margarita calms me down a great deal.

Staying calm is good :)

And I take a one-serving sized bottle of wine when I go to the conference. I enjoy that in the motel room after the conference.

I like that idea.

I had a six-pack of said canned margaritas when we went camping with the preacher and his family. I saved one for the drive home, and the preacher and I enjoyed the rest. Before the rest of the church folks arrived, of course.

The time before that was in Palm Springs with DRs Kerry and my daughter. And Jason G. and his husband. She had a cherry coke, Kerry had something non-alcoholic, and I had a cup of coffee.

Ok. I tried to make up for DR Vixmom's inability at the moment to post long stories.

You are doing an excellent job of entertaining us.

I don’t think they’re getting much outta me today.

It is a shame you don't have any work for them to do.

You folks are better than me at being able to watch the news. I can take very little of it these days.

It was hard for me to see the details in the video so I had to watch it over and over again.  I really wanted to see what actually happened, and it was bad.

Note to self:  Keep canned margaritas around, you never know when the minister might need one. Or a few.

I had a key and could understand all but one of the questions on their worksheet. One girl did ask for help and I was able to explain it. But the one I didn’t get is a doozy.

I’m having a break this period. Just finished a pair of lengthy poems by the young Faulkner. Not great, but interesting.

That piece of shit calling itself JD Vance is giving a press conference in which he repeats the lies of Kristi Gnome and the White House about Renee Good, a "domestic terrorist," calling Governor Tim Walz a joke, and asserting the ICE agent was doing his job. I hope, when Trump's reign of terror ends, that Trump and Vance share the same prison cell.

DR JANE sorry to mislead.....my local plex - 7 screens - changed it's name from Showtime Cinema to Torchlight Cinema.

But it was the LAST showing of Song Sung Blue in the plex at 11 a.m. so it was now or never - as Elvis used to say.

We started out in theeder number 7 - but 30 seconds into the movie the screen went blank.  Finally the lights came on and a young lady walked down the aisle and said that the projector was not working.

So all 12 of us got moved down to Theeder One!  The B I G one.....great sound....but a few too many unexpected steps for me.

I enjoyed the movie very much and thought Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson were both terrific....and they of course BOTH did their own singing.

Might be my favorite movie of the year.....but of course there are a lot more to see. But I doubt that I will bother.

Tickets were $5 each.

That sounds like a fun series DR FREDDIE.

I'll see if I can find it.

You folks are better than me at being able to watch the news. I can take very little of it these days.

I learn all the news I get through this group or Mrs R. I’m not proud of this, but the news makes me very anxious, so this is best for my health.

I completely understand this.  There have been times when I have had to take a break and return to issues when I am feeling better.

I am, however, as Bonnie Tyler sang, holding out for a hero, someone to rally around.

We sure need one.

To Mrs. R’s chagrin, I always order it as “Cointreau and sod-y” as a tribute to this sublime Martin Short scene in The Big Picture.

When I was stage managing a couple of shows with a particular actor - once I gave  the 15 minute call he would give me some $$ and ask me to get him a sody pop.

Which I was always glad to do because it always made me laugh.

TOD: I'm a wine guy, but I also like beer and single-malt Scotch. I'm not much of a cocktail fan, except at one restaurant that makes them really well with great flavors that match their food better than beer or wine do.

I like a good single-malt Scotch.  Do you have favorites?  If I don't have a menu in front of me I will usually begin with a Glenlevit as it is usually an option.
