Well, dear readers, it is already Friday. I ask you, where else on all the Internet can you find such information? Nowhere, that’s where. Now that we know it is already Friday, what shall we do with the information? Remember, knowledge is power, as some wag once said. So, we all have knowledge, hence we all have power. For example, if someone says, “What day is this?” we all can say, it is Friday you stupid, ignorant little twit. You see, we have the knowledge, hence we have the power to make with the snappy repartee. I’m feeling very knowledgeable, frankly, what with my knowing it’s already Friday and all. That gives me the power, baby, and I will use said power, make no mistake about it. I will TAKE DOWN those who stand in my way, I will leave the bloody carcasses strewn on the grassy Elysian fields of battle. You know, if anyone has a clew as to what the HELL I’m talking about, feel free to pipe up at any time. “I will TAKE DOWN those who stand in my way, I will leave the bloody carcasses strewn on the grassy Elysian fields of battle.” I just thought that was worth repeating, said worth being about $1.43. Speaking of Elysian fields of battle, I had a rather pleasantly pleasant day yesterday doing pleasantly pleasant things, such as finishing addressing packages, jogging, and then attending a little thing at LACC. After said thing, I came home, where I did some things that needed doing, and then I met up with Kevin Spirtas for an impromptu supper. I was surprised to see that up was hanging with Kevin, but I kept my mouth shut. Just knowing it gives me power, of course, because knowledge is power and if I felt like it I could tell the world about up and Kevin by going on the Skip E. Lowe show and spilling the beans. Have you ever spilled the beans? It’s quite messy. I don’t know if anyone’s noticed, but I seem to have gone off the deep end.

Last night I watched the rest of A Hard Act To Follow, the wonderful Thames documentary on the life and work of Mr. Buster Keaton – BK, to his friends. There are wonderful clips from the films, wonderful interview footage, and the whole thing has quite an air of melancholy about it, because of the life Mr. Keaton led. This DVD is region 2, but hopefully some enterprising company will put it out in the US.

Well, why don’t we all click on the Unseemly Button below because I must get my beauty rest and attend a breakfast meeting this morning.

Have I mentioned that knowledge is power and that, conversely, power is knowledge? If not, I’m mentioning it now. I was also thinking about telling the wonderful tale of The Randy Vicar and the Ink Blot, but that will have to wait for another day.

Speaking of another day, today I shall be having a breakfast meeting with Miss Alet Taylor, after which I must do a bunch of errands. I shall then come home, do some writing, and when the Simply Sondheim CDs arrive, I shall hurriedly put them into the already-addressed packages and try to get them to the post office before closing time. I then will attend an opening night of a play written and performed by Mr. Don Scribner, who part-times at my local DVD store. He’s a very nice chap and I’m looking forward to his play.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, jog, meet, eat, write, drive about in my motor car, ship, and attend an opening night. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Friday – what is currently in your DVD player, and your CD player? I’ll start – DVD, Jacques Tati’s Play Time, a new transfer from Criterion. CD, Alice Ripley’s new rock-and-roll album, and also several new soundtracks I’ve recently gotten, such as the newly-released CD of Goodbye, Columbus. Your turn. Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, and do remember – knowledge is power (KIP, in Internet lingo).
