Well, dear readers, I’m still feeling weird about the car break-in, but not as weird as the day it happened. I guess it will go away when it goes away, but I can’t say I like it much. Add to that another annoyance that has been ongoing for some time, and perhaps it’s simply time to stop the annoyance once and for all. We shall see what the day brings. Other than that, yesterday was, at least, calmer and more even-keeled, so that was nice. I got up even earlier than the workers’ noise, and did the long jog. I did some more work on the lyric (almost finished now), answered a bunch of e-mails, and then toddled off to a lunch meeting at Musso and Frank. I hadn’t been in quite some time, and it was a wonderfully wonderful luncheon in every way. Of course, I had the combo Louis with lots of dressing. After lunch, I went to the mail place, where I had a few packages finally arrive, but there are still a few that are way overdue, so perhaps those will arrive today. I came home and had a very long telephonic conversation with my choreographer Adam Cates. I had a nice surprise visit and was brought some ginger beer and U-No bars, which was very sweet. After that, I proofed three more chapters and then decided to go to a play reading, said play by my designer, Doug Haverty.
Last night, I decided to go to a play reading. It was a play about guilt, death, relationships, and healing. There was some nice humor in the piece, but it’s not quite what it wants to be yet. I so rarely see plays anymore that it was fun to see one, even if only in a reading. The actors were fine. I saw a few people I knew, so that was nice. After, I came home and watched more episodes of Lost – some good, some not that good, but all interesting. I must say that watching an entire season of a series in a row like this does get me even further behind in my viewing, but I’ll catch up at some point.
My goodness, what flavorless notes. I apologize for the last couple of days and promise that the notes will be back to normal starting tomorrow. These notes are sans flavor, and we must have flavored notes, like strawberry or cherry or lime. The notes must be like Fizzies – sparkling, bubbly, and nauseating, all at the same time.
Well, why don’t we all click on the Unseemly Button below because I want to get to bed at a reasonable hour and get as much sleep as I can. Lots to do this very day.
This very day, I shall be doing some version of the jog, and then I shall proof and then I have at least a three-hour work session starting at noon. I’ll probably be back home by four, I’m thinking. I will then either deal with the annoyance (which mostly has to do with extremely rude behavior) or not. We’ll see how I’m feeling.
Tomorrow, I’ll be shipping out lots of Topkapi CDs, and probably without any help, unless Mr. Cason Murphy has time to come up and help. After that, I’ll be getting a haircut from Teddy, and then I’ll be doing yet more proofing – I’m hoping to be finished proofing by the end of Thursday, and then see Grant to enter the final fixes either Friday or Saturday.
Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, do a jog, long or otherwise, I must proof, I must have a long work session, I must proof, I must have something fun to eat, and then I shall probably watch yet more episodes of Lost. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Ask BK Day, the day in which you get to ask me or any dear reader any old question you like and we get to give any old answer we like. So, let’s have loads of lovely questions and loads of lovely answers and loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst we prepare ourselves for some back to normal Fizzie-like notes.
