INDIEGOGO A GO GO FIRST TWELVE HOURS – 21%!

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, we came out swingin’ and had us a really good first twelve hours of the new Indiegogo campaign. As I write these here notes, we’re currently at 21% of our goal. Now, remember, this goal is MUCH higher than we normally do in these campaigns. For example, in last year’s campaign, we’d be over 50% of our goal, that’s how well we did. Once again, the 10-CD perk is proving very popular with the populace. The first edition plays had a lot of action – I think there are only three left and I’m hoping those will go, too. The biggest contribution was someone grabbing one of the two executive producer perks – this person has done that before and it’s so great when it happens early on. I did put up new perks as others were grabbed, so do check back often. Here’s the handy dandy link.

So, let’s have another great day because IF we do I’ll feel certain that we’ll reach our goal. You people are AMAZING and we can DO this.

Mostly, I was on the Internet all evening, monitoring and cheerleading and cross-posting. I thought about cross-dressing while I was at it, but all my dresses are in storage. Perhaps I should be in storage? I did take a break and watched a most peculiar film entitled Case 39, a “horror” film without much horror or frights. I guess you could call it another evil child movie, but it really doesn’t know WHAT it is and that’s the problem. It’s pretty good for the first half, then just bogs down and gets silly because – they can’t decide what movie they’re actually making. The little girl is really excellent – Jodelle Ferland, who’s all grown up now and has had quite a busy career. The star is Renee Zellwegger and Bradley Cooper has a supporting role and a very nasty death scene. The mother of the little girl is played by our very own Kerry O’Malley – who knew – and she’s verrrrrry scarrrry and I told her so on the Facebook. I listened to some Oscar Peterson and then it was time to write these here notes.

Yesterday was a very nice day. I got six-and-a-half hours of sleep, got right up, proofed the campaign carefully, added about five more perks and added more images, and then we went live right at about eleven-thirty or thereabouts. I did nothing but check the totals and cheerlead on the Facebook and elsewhere until I moseyed on over to the mail place and got the rest o’ the books. I came right home after, ordered a chicken Caesar salad from Stanley’s, and went back to cheerleading. The salad arrived thirty minutes later, and it was very good and filling. That was my only meal o’ the day.

Then it was back to cheerleading and reporting the percentages when they went up, which they did frequently, thank goodness. Then I sat on my couch like so much fish and dozed off for about fifteen minutes, then watched Case 39.

Today, I’ll be up around eleven, check our campaign, which I’m hoping will have gone up, I’ll add about ten more perks for today, too, so do keep checking back so you don’t lose something you may want. I’ll eat at some point – I may even go sit somewhere and eat – but mostly I’ll be right here on the computer, cheerleading away and hopefully reporting good news. At some point, I’ll watch, listen, and relax – and cheerlead.

Tomorrow is more of the same, of course – this is really a full-time job, as you know. Saturday, she of the Evil Eye comes and I’ll go have a light breakfast, otherwise it’s cheerleading all weekend and putting up new perks as things are taken, including some fun and rare original sheet music.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up around eleven, check the campaign, which will have hopefully gone up, I’ll add perks, I’ll cheerlead, I’ll eat, I’ll hopefully keep reporting good news, and then I’ll watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: What are your favorite horror movies – from classics to more modern horror. Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, happy to have had a great first day of our new Indiegogo campaign and achieving 21% of our goal.
