Well, dear readers, let’s just leave it at this: Those who should be watching the January 6 program aren’t. They will continue to believe the BS they’ve been fed, when all one need do is look at the horrifying footage to know the truth. I’m not a political person, but I know enough to know that when an entire political party, aka Republicans (not all, but many) put their party ahead of – to quote another president – a day that will live in infamy, then something is very broken. The Republicans’ reaction to the first evening? Simple – they didn’t watch and instead talk about gas prices, like that’s the fault of the other side – it isn’t, but the lies about it are bountiful and that’s what this is about to them – not the school shootings, not the disgusting events of January 6, no, inflation and gas prices. This is the same group that feared for their lives and were taken to a safe place away from the insanity. Only much later did the talking points change – “There was no violence, it’s just like any tourist day” – “Antifa” – well, no, morons, it was you. It was always you. It will always BE you as long as you blindly follow a man who is a manipulative, power-hungry, morally bankrupt man who thinks this whole thing is like his reality TV show. I don’t care what your political persuasion, if you have a human bone in your body and watched last night, and you don’t see that there was anything wrong, then there’ll be no convincing you. I has spoken and end of rant. I suspect the coming evenings of this will be equally damning. And it’s not partisan, no matter how much that word is screamed. The good part is that the real idiots – the Jim Jordans and the Melanie Taylor Greenes can’t interrupt and do the BS they normally do – move the goalposts and make it about everything other than what it’s about. Otherwise, I didn’t get around to watching a motion picture other than about twenty minutes of the 1990 remake of The Desperate Hours, which is terrible. And now, I am listening to a fun soundtrack – Blazing Magnum by Armando Trovaioli – I had the LP when it came out and always enjoyed it and I guess at some point I got it on CD. Oh, and we announced our new CD, the new off-Broadway cast recording of an about-to-open show, Love Quirks. Here’s the cover and you know where to order should you like to have it.
Yesterday was okay – I was up early for some hours then back to bed and ultimately I think I did get eight hours of sleep. Once fully up, I had a lot of e-mails to answer and then I had to send the eBlast for the new CD and also post it everywhere for everyone’s mental delectation. I do hope we get more orders than we’ve gotten so far. I’d like to think that new musicals do sell a few CDs.
Then I met Sami Staitman and her mom at Casa Vega. I ordered my usual cheese enchilada and beef taco. I always eat the taco first, but one bite of it told me something was very wrong, and looking at the meat, which looked like a cow patty, showed me it was not only burnt, but just looked, well, old. So, they took that away and brought me a new one and that was very good as was the cheese enchilada. We had fun catching up and we have something in the works for Sami that could be lots of fun.
After dinner, I came right home and did some work on the computer, tried to watch The Desperate Hours, which only made me desperate to turn it off, watched the January 6 thing and that was pretty much it. I was going to post a few more videos, but no one seemed that interested yesterday, so I won’t bother.
Today, I’ll be up by eleven at the latest, then I’ll meet Adryan Russ for a noon o’clock lunch. After that, I’ll go to the mail place and hope the important envelope is there. Then I’ll come home, hopefully have some decent orders for the new title, then at some point, I’ll watch, listen, and relax.
Tomorrow, I’ll finish up the Indiegogo patter and film it and get it to Marshall Harvey. Then I’ll start figuring out the perks, I’ll write the information that Indiegogo likes on the campaign page and get that all set up and ready. Sunday will be more of the same, then depending on when Marshall has the video, we’ll launch the campaign and that will be my full-time job for the next four weeks. It’s a really important campaign. Hard to believe it’s been about three-and-a-half years since the last campaign.
Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up by eleven at the latest, lunch with Adryan Russ, hopefully pick up some packages and an important envelope, hopefully have some decent orders, and then I can watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Friday – what is currently in your CD player and your DVD/Blu and Ray player? I’ll start – CD, nothing. Blu-ray, nothing. Your turn. Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, knowing full well that those who should watch, won’t.
