DR DB, all that in the first 13 minutes! ;D  Thanks for the info & link.

DR Jose, thanks for the on-line watch link.
DR Jose, plural?  I thought that had been your first one.

I never said "first".  :)

I know, however if you mentioned something recently I missed it. ;)

Perhaps Dr Jose preferred not to mention the first, until he was sure there would be a second!

In order to make my last post I had to close the site & reopen it.  This is not the first time I have attempted a post only to be told I already made said post & to go "back".  Has anyone else had this problem?

Naturally, if I had a first date, I would announce it here.   I would also contact Ripley's BELIEVE IT OR NOT.

DR Jane - That happens if you try to "re-quote", but then type in another response to another post.  The board's software is "too smart" in that regard.  -If you look at your URL/address line when you respond/quote to a post, it actually has a specific URL.  So, if you happen to page back to an "old" response page, and then post from there, it will signal the system that it's a duplicate post.

You don't have to close and open the board, however. Just go back to the "Home", and it will fine from there.

It has happened a number of times.  I'm pretty sure only when I have used the quote option.

I'm hopping off-line now to do some writing, and then will head back down for some fun evening viewing. I may be able to get to SEX AND THE CITY (the Movie) on Blu-ray tonight.

Closing & opening was easier then finding "home" & starting from there.

I hadn't actually quoted the one I opened, only in a previous quote on the subject.  So did you have difficulty responding to my quote when you had quoted previously?  Gosh, I understand what I'm saying but I gotta wonder if anyone else does ;D

Years ago, New Yorkers could have put a roof over 42nd Street and made it the country's first real strip mall.   :D

I miss the old 42nd Street. It was more fun when it was scary to walk down it.

I always have to wonder if "people" would really like the "old 42nd Street" if it ever came back.  Yes, a little danger in one's daily commute can be "exciting", but I'd rather feel safe and secure - regardless of how many Starbucks happen to be crammed into those four to six block area.

I mean, regardless of what you thought about Kock and Giuliani, I think making the Times Square area a true Destination was not necessarily a bad thing.  Yes, rents are skyrocketing, and some of the seedier elements have been pushed further west and east, but isn't that happening everywhere?

-I'm not a NYC native, so I know my opinion may be in the minority, but I have been coming to the City That Never Sleeps regularly since I was 10 years old, and I've lived here the past three years.  I like the cleaner and less seedy NYC.  Call me a rebel.  ;)

I understand what you're saying.

And, yes, the board basically only allows you to respond to the post you "originally" quoted.  So, if you try to re-quote, re-respond, it will come up as an error.

I double checked & I hadn't responded to that post, only to your last post so I should have been ok.  I even double checked I was at the bottom of ALL the quotes.  Sometimes I miss & go in the middle.  I find if I remember to click on preview I can see what I'm doing better than in the original box.

DR JOSE has another date tomorrow night.  Whew!  What a social butterfly.

We'll see.  We both seem to have pretty erratic schedules lately, so...  If it happens, good.  If not, there will (most likely) be a next time.
