Yeah!  I am happy for you. I know you've waited a lot longer than i have to read this. Hopefully your friend is a fast reader!

Btw, if you can't find a recap and need my book 2 recap i can email it to you.  I found a really good book spoiler site for another book that i had read that i needed a recap of. Unfortunately they don't have this book.

Can't wait to read this one myself. I was 94 among reservations at the library yesterday (about of 30 copies). And the movie of "Dragon Tattoo" opens here Friday.

That gives me hope the movie might come here.  If so I might go to a theater for the first time in ages.  I won't be taking my name off the library queue until after I have read the book.  I'm 34th out of 74 holds, for one book.  I'm impressed your library will be getting 30 copies.
In a city of 1.3 million, that's an OK amount.

I was lucky in the rain today. It's pouring like crazy out there, and after lunch I ducked into a used CD shop. Found the studio album of "Lucky in the Rain" for $2.98 and three other CDs I didn't have. One was "Liza's Back," which was only $4.98 but new. Now I can hear Wayne Newton singing all those songs she lip-synced.

I am sure that someway, somehow, the airport closures arosss Europe will screw with BKs return travel plans.

DR John G, that is a good number of people under one library system.
San Antonio has only one library system, and it is the seventh largest city in the nation. And people do use the library system -- a lot. My neighborhood branch is sometimes so busy I have a hard time finding a parking space.
But the libraries here are also different from most places I've lived. They are occasionally built next to parks or hiking trails, then landscaped so that you want to check out the books, then take a walk through the wildflowers or let the kids play on the swings, etc. It's a little more of a community center, and it has a lot of programs for kids, so you'll see plenty of families taking advantage.

What's the title? I'll put in a request. They usually buy at least one copy when there are two requests for something.

I'm in one of those little business center cubicles in the President's Club (thank you day pass) - because every single seat where you'd want to sit and relax is taken.  I had no idea Houston was the center of the known universe.

Good thing you're not flying to the UK or N. Europe today...because you wouldn't be.

DR Matt H, I agree with your comments about Human Target & the guest cast.  As for Modern Family, while they all make me laugh, Cam for his exuberance makes me laugh the most.

We were disappointed with GLEE.  As much as we enjoyed the Vogue thing at the end we had no idea what it was for, not that I'm complaining.

I was not disappointed with GLEE overall. The show has been off for four months, and they had to do an episode that reestablished the show's central movers and shakers, cram in some musical numbers, and introduce two new characters in addition to giving face time to some changes in relationships. My biggest disappointment was that Matthew Morrison didn't get to sing Diamond's "Hello, Again" on his own instead of barely singing along to the recording. Overall, I thought the episode did a good job (not great, mind you) in jump starting the show for the last third of its season.

But the writing was as sassy as ever, and the melodramatic plot strands which are a hallmark of the show were revved back up: different players now in some of the antics, but the tone is still what it was.

"Vogue," of course, was a preview for next week's all-Madonna song episode of the show.

Before I left for lunch, I did get my errands run and then had time to watch the season premiere of THE BIG GAY SKETCH SHOW on Logo. The parody of THE AMAZING RACE with all "heterosexual" contestants had me constantly laughing as they stumbled around various NYC sites.

Lunch started late and ran very long, so when I got in, I didn't have time to do anything except watch TOMBSTONE. It has a simply brilliant cast of actors. Val Kilmer steals every scene as Doc Holiday in what must be his best-ever film performance. I didn't even remember Dana Delany being in this. But all these actors who have gone on to great fame pop up in fairly small roles (Thomas Haden Church, Jason Priestley, Jon Tenney). Just marvelous.

I don't usually care much for Cosmatos as a director, but he does a professional job here.

I still don't think this holds a candle to Costner's WYATT EARP or MY DARLING CLEMENTINE (which has a lot of fictional elements to it but is such a classic.)

Didn't get any of the bonus features watched. Looks like there are three making of featurettes, some director storyboards, and the trailers and TV ads, so that shouldn't take much of my time tonight.
