Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a trip, and now it is time for you to post until the Indiana and Kentucky cows come home.

I just re-watched WALL-E on blu-ray.  It's a better film than RATATOUILLE, but the latter is still my favorite Pixar.

Goodevening.

I hear the train.   I'm only one block from the railroad tracks along the coast. One day I will take the Pacific Surfliner to Santa Barbara or San Diego for the day.   Just for the fun of seeing the coast.

Must now write 2 checks for my taxes, for the morning post office trip.

Good night, happy Thursday.  ;)

Good evening, I had a terrible day for so many reasons. Even though I have an amazing credit rating, i was denied on the refinance because they income averaged back to the beginning of my business.  Well duh, you're not going to make money your first 6 months.. Anyway, I was pretty ticked off.  There were many other things that went wrong today,.  I really needed an "It sucks to be me" t-shirt

The evening brightened up considerably.  I called the man who hates cats who also had a very bad day.   We hung out at his house, drank some beer, ate some chicken and talked for hours and hours.   It was just what I needed to make the day better

Buck up, Cilla, he could be the man who hates cat dancing.  No, I don't know what that means, either.  ;)

My supergroovy new CD floor rack will hopefully be delivered to the new house tomorrow.  It holds 1520 CD's, which should almost take care of Brasil.  ;)

The weird thing about the new house is it's almost twice as big as our current house, but there are so many more windows that there actually fewer places to put things like bookcases and CD racks.  So I've really been on a snark hunt for walls that I can put my various media on.

LOL. I don't need to buck up.  It was a really nice evening. We both enjoyed talking and talking and we have a ton in common.  We will most definitely be friends... :)

So get shorter book cases and CD racks and they will fit below the windows....or get skinnier ones to fit between the windows :)

For Ginny:

A projected shortage of canned pumpkin was announced last fall:

NY TIMES

Since the major comerical pumpkin crops are just once a year, we can preume the shortage will continue until next fall.

PS I'd check with the neighbors before I followed the suggestion to plant your own crop in the front yard

DR FJL - As stated earlier, there has been no previous discussion of Ms. Feldshuh and Ms. Buckley in Arsenic and Old Lace.  However...

When I first saw that story on Playbill.com, I thought Betty would be playing the "arsenic".

As for "The Lord of the Rings" Blu-Ray, well...  I haven't seen it yet, but...

I have two friends who watched the complete LOTR Trilogy in the movie theatre at least five(!) times - including one of those marathon days where they showed them back-to-back.  Both of them also have quite a nice home theater set-up.  And... Both of them have issues with the BD.  They're very minor quibbles, but both of them have stated that some things just don't look like they did on the big screen.

DR FJL - That pic of Jonathan Groff that DR MattH posted last night is from his appearance on "Glee" (last night)... I think.  However... He sort of looked that way last summer in Central Park during The Bacchae. He had his own "pre-show" on the stage of the Delacorte which included changing out of a pair of wet jeans... :)

DR TCB - Well... If Andy Williams can dub for Lauren Bacall, why not Wayne Newton for Liza Minelli? ;)
