Just got a shipment of Grater's Ice Cream, and tried some of the Buckeye Blitz.  It's got quite a strong after-taste, but a very pleasant one.

Ooooo, DR FJL, Graeter's is one of my favorite places here in SW Ohio!  What other flavors did you get?  Being a true-blue Michigan Wolverine, I refuse to try the Buckeye Blitz, but it's one of my mom's favorites.  My faves are:  Toffee Chip, Raspberry Chip, Mocha Chip, and Coconut Chip.

From the liner notes:

"...and with this delectable new score, [Mel Brooks] attains the upper brackets of such top composer-lyricists Jerry Herman, Frank Loesser, and...dare I say Cole Porter and Irving Berlin? I dare! I dare! The score is just that good."

I'm here in North Carolina and DR Ron is back in California.  Hmmm... I showered, I really did!  I'm having fun so far, it's a lovely little town (Lexington) and reminds me of the town I grew up in in the foothills of California (Angels Camp).  Everyone here is very nice, so adjusting has been easy.   The Wedding rehearsal is this eve and the wedding is tomorrow and then I'm on a EARLY (5:50am) flight back to California.

Don't take this the wrong way, (as many of you will) but I'm excited and scared to check out the organ I'll be playing at the church.  New organs are always an adventure (and not always good) but the groom assures me it's "big".  The Bridal Processional is the Wedding Processional from "The Sound of Music" - I'm so excited by that.  Everything else is Christmas(y) type.

In the past 30 years, I've let a lot of Graeter's ice cream go to waist (and hips and thighs...).

If I had to hazard a guess, the House Of Murphy would have been on the east side of the street, and if I further had to hazard a guess, the building is probably not there anymore....Next time I drive by I'll check, but is there an address on the postcard?
Address: 410 S. San Vicente, Beverly Hills, California

TOTD
Last night (That's this evening), DP and I watched the first two episodes of UK TV series "Spaced'.

Totally quirky and delightful.

Simon Pegg was the writer and Star.

The show is pre "Shaun of the Dead"

I am enjoying the London cast recording of Jason Robert Brown's Parade quite a lot.  It seems to be pretty complete on 2 CDs, with most of the dialogue included, plus a bonus DVD of interviews with the artistic staff.

If you want the organ checked, send a PM to East Coast Casting (DR Jose) or West Coast Casting (DR MBarnum) ASAP.

Oh, God, I love the stupidity of the soaps! Today AS THE WORLD TURNS is on New Year's Eve, and it will probably be New Year's Eve for the next week.  Last week Christmas Day arrived on its traditional Dec. 25.  The soaps have the strangest fiscal calendars.
