Well, I hope to Ganesh that someone, someplace is preserving the 1960s Bollywood film TARZAN IN FAIRYLAND!

Do you mean that you let this one slip through your fingers?

I don't need vile lint on television - I have enough trouble with it on my sweaters!

I must get myself to the post office annex in downtown Oakland and pick up all my "held" mail.  This not only places all the mail I have missed into my hands, it also restarts my mail.

And we wouldn't want to miss any bills!

I wonder what, exactly, was the connection between DR Jeanne and all of those aviators?  ;)

In California, no vehicle without a driver may exceed 60 miles per hour.

In Florida, if an elephant, goat or alligator is left tied to a parking meter, the parking fee has to be paid just as it would for a vehicle.

In Montana, it is illegal to have a sheep in the cab of your truck without a chaperone.

In Oregon, a door on a car may not be left open longer than necessary.

In Tennessee, it is illegal shoot any game other than whales from a moving automobile.

I mean really, there are probably a couple of rare June Kenney movies sitting in someones basement, just rotting away.

I think Mike is probably right. It makes me sick to think of all the stuff I threw out and I know that many others did, too. We just had no idea the value Hollywood memorabilia would have.

Ron,
I'm pleased to hear that you arrived home safely. I'm sorry it wasn't easier, but, like der B, I'd have to say that these days to arrive home safely and with your luggage may be the best one can expect. "Trouble-free travel" seems to be an oxymoron.

Maybe the aviators are going through Sing's closet.

They'll look so chic in the mauve chiffon tafetta party dress with the plunging neckline and matching rhinestone pumps!

If I had to hazard a guess, the House Of Murphy would have been on the east side of the street, and if I further had to hazard a guess, the building is probably not there anymore.  The design is very much in keeping with other restaurants on Restaurant Row, like Lawry's and Richlor's.  For those who've visited LA, it would have been located very close to the south end of the Beverly Center.  Were it to have been on the West side of the street (highly doubtful), then it would have been replaced by the Millionaire's Club (which can be seen in the film The Loved One) or the Fish Shanty, which can also be seen in The Loved One.  But I really doubt it was there, and that the safer bet would have been across the street from those to, and most likely on the south corner.  Next time I drive by I'll check, but is there an address on the postcard?

Wasn't "Oh, Diaphanous" a Rogers & Hart song?
