So a truly decadent NYC outing would be to see Young Frankenstein from Premium Seats and then getting this gold ice cream thingy for dessert?

I could be plenty decadent on a whole lot less money!

Love from Paramount-

That is the title of my next novella...

I believe it was Paramount that bought TFNM.

Thanks, DR MBarnum.  And I will look at these - once I get home.

Of course, if I go by way of Grand Central [ ;) ], that may take a while.

Ah, I see it's part of a trend...

If you're going to end your day with this:

Then you might as well start your day with this:

Truffles and gold: It must be time for breakfast. Frank Tujague of The Westin New York hotel at Times Square has created the $1,000 bagel. The bagel is topped with white truffle cream cheese and goji berry-infused Riesling jelly with gold leaves. The chef created the unique treat to help raise funds for the Les Amis d'Escoffier Scholarship, which gives scholarships to cooking students. The $1,000 bagel is only available until December 14 and has to be ordered 24 hours in advance.

I'm sure that this is very interesting to everyone. It's a dilemma to me, though, because I don't cook enough to know what I want, but I WANT to cook, and intend to cook...

I understand perfectly. My ideal is a 5- or 6-burner gas cooktop (or stove). I currently have a (4-burner) gas cooktop, but an electic oven, that works fine for me.

As for someone who keeps says that she SHOULD cook, but then doesn't, well, HERE I AM!

DR MBarnum - You may need to double-check the url info for DRAGSTRIP RIOT in your last post.  There's some sort of coding in it, apparently.

Have you already tried unplugging the unit for a couple of minutes, then plugging it back in?

Yup, but to no avail...

The dogs are still on Daylight time and are jumping on the bed at 5:30 every morning.  It took me this long to figure out why they're doing that.  Oy.

;D  our lazy boy sleeps on the bed until i get up.  now if u let them spend the entire night on the bed u wouldn't have them waking up so early ;)

i miss cooking with gas.  i don't miss the cleaning process.  the flat electric cook top is easier to clean.  have they invented a self cleaning gas oven yet?

with luck our next house will have a gas line & we can have a self cleaning gas oven.  it's been a long time since we had a gas oven.  it was a pain to clean but it sure baked nicely.

I am my own Frenzy.

MattH (or any other in the know DR)--did you watch Criminal Intent last night?  I was so caught up in seeing Steve Guttenberg (my, how he's changed), I didn't notice who was playing his wife, and she looked awfully familiar.  Do you know who it was?

I did watch it, but I didn't know the actress myself.
