And the word of the day is: EXIGUOUS!
TOD: Macaroni and cheese, which I shouldn't have because pasta causes my blood sugar to skyrocket, but I have it every once in a while. And I love in most any more, from out of the blue box to the outrageous version I had recently with country ham and shavings of black truffle over the top.

We're going to give it some time. Who was the blonde playing the mother? She looked so familiar and I didn't catch the cast listing.
Last night, the hardcover was at 1,026,000-ish in the sales rank - this morning, 56,000. With no discount! Funnily, the softcover hasn't moved at all.
DR Jose, have you heard anything about PeeWee's show? I'm getting ready to plunk for tickets for when I take my mom et al up, and was just wondering, before I spend almost $600...

I just meant that the picture didn't come along with the quote and now as I think about it I realize why, you probably didn't post it on the site, it's probably on Flicker or Twit Pics or someplace else other than Bruce's server.
Oh, to DR Jennifer and anyone with friends/family in Canada who might like JEWS AND BASEBALL, please let them know that we're opening in Toronto and Montreal tomorrow. To see the trailer: http://www.jewsandbaseball.com/trailer.html
We've been getting great reviews from bloggers and the Jewish press, and the general consensus is that you don't have to be Jewish or a baseball fan to really enjoy it. So please spread the word! We need a big weekend for the film to spread out further.
Thank you!
Congrats to DR George on his promotion!
Congrats to DR George! Yeah!
DR Edisaurus, can you get your doc submitted to our Salem Independent Film Festival?

It might be too late for this year, but maybe for next year.

There was an ad for the movie in the paper today! It said that it is playing at one theatre in Montreal. It's not near where I live. But there is a large Jewish community there.
In regards to Tyler Clementi's tragic death, I just hope and pray that his family and friends are able to grieve in their own way and in private(!) over the next couple of days and weeks. Sadly, with all of the media attention being paid to the situation - and the circumstances leading up to his death DO deserve attention - I'm afraid they're going to be dealing with microphones and cameras being shoved in their faces whenever they're out in public.
In Joel Grey (http://www.playbill.com/news/article/143475-Joel-Grey-Will-Star-in-Anything-Goes-on-Broadway) news. Isn't he a bit old to play Moonface? Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Mr. Grey, but Moonface??
mega conga-rats to DR George on the promotion to supervisor! That is wonderful!!!

DR Jose, keep Saturday evening, Oct 16, free.

TOD:
I've always loved pasta and used to eat it frequently. It is not allergy-friendly, though, or cholesterol-friendly, or weight-friendly--at least for my body--so I don't eat it often now. I do still love fettuccine alfredo. The best fettuccine alfredo I've ever had was in Quebec at a little place called the Inn of the Black Sheep. Wonderful! I wasn't impressed with the pasta I had in Italy, but I was staying in--and eating in--real dives.

Yes, I hope they are given the privacy they need, but that's what the whole issue is about--privacy. What should be photographed and what shouldn't, what should be made public and what shouldn't. Privacy and tastefulness.

In the mail today, a brand new, never before watched DVD from NetFlix.
IRON MAN 2.
From Cilla:
How do you know it's never been watched before?

I actually haven't heard much about it, and neither have a bunch of my friends. However, the general buzz seems to be that it can't be anything but good. He's got a good ensemble, and most of the show is apparently based on the presentations he gave in L.A. earlier this year. -And it seems that everyone loved those. Classic Pee-Wee!

My second load of laundry is about to go into the dryer. -Now isn't that exciting! ;D
Betsy's eldest brother, a doctor, suffered a stroke yesterday. He was not his own best patient and waited almost the whole day before his wife made him go to the ER. He's had his MRI but is undergoing a bunch of other tests today. He can speak pretty well, but has no use of his right hand.
Your interviewer seemed well prepared, BK--that's half the battle right there.

Thanks for the vibes. It turns out there's a history of strokes in Betsy's family that she knew nothing about.
Never mind, found it: Shawnee Smith. I guess I remember her from "Becker," though that's odd because I never watched that show, LOL.
I'm up and my elbow feels fine, save for the bruise.
BTW (by the way in internet speak) my doctor told me my blood sugars looked great (hurray...and rather suprising) but my cholesterol is way high (and he demanded to know why I stopped taking my cholesterol med...I had some lame excuse for him).
He also said that I am highly vitamin D deficient. Says that might be why I take two hour naps on my days off. I have to pick up some mega-dose prescription of vitamin D. We shall see what it does for me.

Btw, I loved last night's "Modern Family". -And it's also been great reading some of the very thoughtful discussions about public displays of affection (PDAs) it has raised on the internet.

Glad to be back home, and today I'm starting a job for the show THE VAMPIRE DIARIES! The guy who directed this is an old friend, I've known him since he was just a kid, so it's great to be working with him!

Thanks JRand, but I really do NOT have the coporate ambition of J Pierpont Finch...I'm finally as upwardly mobile as I will ever get.

I don't remember exactly why it works better only that it absolutely does.
Oh, my cats throw up all the time. I think Boo is allergic to her treats. They both get hair balls. They eat bugs and sometimes I think they just enjoy the experience, lol. They are both fine. As one of my former vets said "Cats were made to throw up. It's just who they are"

And the related issue of bullying, cyber-bullying in particular.
And now... I need to get ready for some sort of "secret" dinner being hosted by some sort of "secret society". ??? -It's a fund-raiser for an arts organization, and I'll be my friend's "plus one". We've already received part one of the invitation. Part two will be be printed on a popsicle stick - after we've finished eating said popsicle. And the dress code for the party proper: a swimsuit and a towel. ???
Laters...

Ebonie has usually thrown up about once every couple of months, but since Sunday, she's practically thown up every day. :-\ A couple of people think that it's just hairballs and have recommended something called Petromalt. I've never heard of it, but Amazon.com sells it. I'll check to see if Fred Meyer has it.
So there's one good thing about living in Arizona -- no one here is deficient in Vitamin D.
You can get treats with hairball remedy in them too. They work pretty well

You can find Petromalt almost anywhere or one of the similar products under different names (I bet your vet even sells something) . Finding the brand & flavor your cat likes best is the trick. I gave it to my cats all the time.
Furballs are distinctive looking. Did you describe what sounded like a furball the people? Do you brush Ebony on a regular basis? This is also important to do even with a short haired cat.
Can anyone tell me an easy way to post the ABC News interview on YouTube? It keeps asking me to add it from my computer - all I have is the link.
I would love more information about D deficiency causing fatigue. I have been arguing with both my doctor and my naturopath about my constant fatigue. My family has a history of low thyroid, which is what I assume this is, though my blood tests come back relatively normal. I wonder if I need D? What doses should I be taking?
Yes, MODERN FAMILY was very funny last night.
I hope that THE OFFICE is funnier then it was last week. And I am looking forwad to the second episode of OUTSOURCED. I love Gupta!

I just have to add that with 4 cats, cleaning up cat hurl is almost a daily activity. My 22 year old, mostly an outdoor cat, only did this once of twice his whole life. Wonder what the difference is?Your outdoor cat probably hurled outside :)
