We had a vist from friend possum last night.  Or friend O possum.  They are so cute.  I petted his rat tail and he curled it around my finger.

Back from the rehearsal.  The girls are in glorious voice and the program is very interesting and a lot of fun.  The band sounds great, too.  Alice's husband Shannon is on drums, and, since they live in LA, I hired him to play The Brain.  I had several opinions on matters musical which I voiced and which were received and taken in the positive spirit they were meant, and some adjustments were made.  I think it's going to be a fun show and I think with some sporadic editing of patter we might be able to fit everything on one CD.

Sounds like it's going to be a great show and a great CD.

BK - see you in about an hour.

Has anyone who has Tivo noticed that it almost isn't worth watching "live" tv any more?  I find it much easier to Tivo what I want to see and fast forward through the commercials.  It sure saves some time!

Yes!

Enjoy!!

Looks like BD Wong's TV shooting schedule is moving that workshop of Skip's show HERRINGBONE into January or thereabouts.

The plus side of the HERRINGBONE time shift is I can take my L.A. trip to see BRAIN in December with no guilt that I'm abandoning Skip at a rough time.

BK and Elmore - Just called the restaurant, let's get there more like 7:40 to let the pre-theater crowd thin out, if that's OK.

Oh, sorry, I just ate!  Met DH Richard at the American Legion fish fry, where he is still on duty emptying trash cans.  He says it keeps him humble.

I had a neat thing happen in the Theatre collection today.  My librarian friend Bob made a reference to a library website for historic newspapers.  I had no knowledge of this, but now I am in the know.

At any rate, an investigation of the Chicago Tribune today gave me the final ruling on the July 1903 plagiarism suit filed by Mrs Alice Riley of Evanston, IL against Fred Hamlin, producer, Julian Mitchell, director, Glen MacDonough, librettist, and Victor Herbert, composer,of BABES IN TOYLAND.  I've had law clerks in Chicago looking for 4 years now on the verdict, and I found it at the library!
Not all clerks are created equal.   :-\

Sorry, I've already got pork and saurkraut in the oven, and I'll be pan-roasting taters to go with them.  Otherwise...

Playing the character of the Brain, or playing drums for The Brain?  There is a difference.

Iwish I was able to join the HHW crowd in NYC and I wish I had had an oportunity to meet DR td!

Tonight is Girl Scout Halloween party night however and I promised the Vixter  thatO would be home to help her get ready(I was, she went as Monaing Myrtle from the  Harry Potter series) and to pick her up after the party (in about 20 minutes ) and that I would tape Dr Who (even as I type) for her so we could watch it together after the party.

Having a half-day at work was strange, but interesting.

We're watching the Doctor right now.

Dinner later.
