ON THE TOWN
« on: October 19, 2006, 09:51:41 PM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were noteworthy, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently on the town and painting the town red (with some yellow highlights).

I forgot to mention that I paid a visit to the Virgin Megastore - my prediction?  It will be going the way of Tower within six months.

Yeah! I do believe it's Shelby Flint who sings the song!

Oh... sorry! Don't mind me; I'm just talking to myself, myself who just does not give a fig to what I say!

A Google search defines kibosh as "a checking or restraining element."  TCB may have a field day with that definition.

DVD: "A Touch of Greatness" Any teachers in this communtiy should see this. You can have a good sampling of it here:
http://www.firstrunfeatures.com
Go to "trailers" and it's toward the bottom of the page.
The beautiful B&W footage was shot by Robert Downey Sr. Absolutely inspiring.

CD: Dance mix of Guy Haines, Johnny Mercer and Randy Newman (I will be seeing him tomorrow night with members of his community!)

Bed: 2 cats, waiting patiently.  Good night...see y'all on the morrow.

How is Edisaurus doing on her book reading?

As I mentioned, I won't have much reading time until after Randy Newman leaves! There are lots of people in town who demand entertaining. And I've been painting at the new house the entire day. I do get to read HHW tonight, though because I can flip to it while I am rendering effects. Thank goodness for multiprocessing!

Even just reading the first few chapters of BK---which as I type that brings me to realize what I'm sure everyone else already knows: that we know someone else with those same initials!

Now I know: Why "The Fly" is the perfect name for Pogue.
What means "What is it, fish?"
and other catch phrases echoed on this site. I am glad I came to the site first---there is so much more resonance to what I"m reading. Can't wait to have more time to devote to it!

Spoo, I guess YES YES YVETTE was a sequel rather than a parody.

What a pleasure to have finally met up with the esteemed BK, whose presence would lighten up the dimmest dining experience!  As stated, it was a dishy, delicious evening at Joe Allen. . .sadly, some people left too soon, for as quickly as the raindrops fell and went away, who should come strolling down the block to join Georgia Engel at her table but Sutton Foster AND Liza Minnelli!  Talk about seeing stars, and talk about needing hipboots ;-)
No other stars appeared, but the shining Jonathan, elmoore, EvilTwin and BK were stars enough!

Hello fellow Dear Readers. I have just returned from a week-long visit with my sister on the east coast. I am bushed.

Wouldn't you know that the first time I check luggage in several years, it doesn't show up when I do?

Good morning to all!

It's been a very long week.  I haven't felt good and was so tired I was going to bed almost as soon as I got home.

I had to go have some bloodwork done yesterday.  I must say that I am getting quite tired of being poked with a needle.  :(

I'm sorry about the luggage but am very glad that you had a nice trip, DearReaderLaura!  I've never had my luggage not make it with me.  It would scare the crap out of me if it didn't show up!

I decided to not interview for that job afterall.  It's hard to explain all of the reasons but mostly it's because I have a very understanding boss when it comes to what is going on with Mom and I would hate to take the chance on a new boss that would be ugly about the times I have to miss work.

Well another busy week with work has about come and gone. They definitely cannot due without me at this place. I get in early and leave late and I am soooo tired when I get home I eat and go to sleep right away. So after today I will claim my life back.

No special movies planned this weekend, but I think I will listen to, in honor of this weekend, the song stylings of Emily Skinner and Alice Ripley (Their duet albums and Skinner's solo album)

The rest of the weekend I pledge I will finish reading the rest of the short stories by BK.

DRDANISE that is a perfectly valid reason.  If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Here we are in NYC....no wait, I am not in NYC....  Sometimes when I read the notes and posts it's as if I am there....just like Walter Cronkite used to say YOU ARE THERE!!
