And I think now is to time to head down and take that hot shower I was mentioning earlier. Then out to do my usual banking and grocery shopping on Friday.

With my back feeling like it does, my kitchen floor (usually my Friday chore) probably won't get touched by a mop today.

Where's the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" when you need him?

How lovely to read MusicGuy's thoughts!  After he finishes, I do hope he'll write them (or just cut and paste what he wrote today) into an amazon review.  The more the merrier.

I've showered and shall now get as much walking done as I can before attending the rehearsal.  And I'm not sure I'll stay for all five hours, either, unless they want me to.

SOMEbody won't be getting much sleep tonight, then....

We ALL know how you fret over that kitchen floor!!!

FJL-
TPunk doesn't have the internet at her job, but I let her know the dinner sked and she just let me know she thinks she'd be cutting it too close timewise, so do not change the reservation for her.

VCR:  cheap, cheap, cheap

I hope that's a comment about the "content" rather than the physical tapes!   :)

Thanks very much, Larry, for the link to the Project Runway interviews with the finalists and Tim Gunn.  That anecdote about Vincent truly cements an impression I had that he's totally nuts.

I've long been wary of his glittering eyes and all-too-easy piano-key smile...and that facility for ignoring the pointed question and delivering an entree for garnering praise from self-delusional leading questions.

He would make an AWESOME subject for a book one day.  One that will probably be filed under case studies of the criminally insane.

One thing about Laura's remark about Angela being complicated:  I think she totally missed the mark on Angela.  Angela isn't complicated.  Angela is simplistic.  Because of that, Angela complicates issues, but is rather transparent, IMO.

Angela is not complicated, as DR RLP said.  I think Laura was being nice.  ANYONE who thinks her style and touches are rosettes on the ass belongs in community theatre costuming - and not even IN CHARGE there.

Well, what I thought was going to be a nice catch-up day at my desk has turned into an information-waitressing day, because we are very short-staffed.  This place goes right down the tubes when both managers are away.

Time to head to the store.  A short, half-day today, to be followed by a new Doctor episode.  (Der Brucer is now grudgingly admitting that he enjoys the show.)

I have images flashing through my head of that "student" nurse on "Will and Grace" who was going to draw blood at Karen's request.

Grace was going to be her first patient....and the needle was ENORMous.

Welcome to my world! (Where is DR Matt when you need him?)
 :)

He's off gadding about having lunch here, shopping for electronics there...and generally watching TV shows and DVD movies and laughing, laughing, laughing at life.

DR RonPulliam, it was all about content!

I also loved the footage of Vincent kissing ass to the French designer - I'm soooo couture conscious! oy - after gluing his gown together.  I bet she was thinking all the time he was raving about how classy she was, "Clueless and classless," only in Francais!

I had a neat thing happen in the Theatre collection today.  My librarian friend Bob made a reference to a library website for historic newspapers.  I had no knowledge of this, but now I am in the know.

At any rate, an investigation of the Chicago Tribune today gave me the final ruling on the July 1903 plagiarism suit filed by Mrs Alice Riley of Evanston, IL against Fred Hamlin, producer, Julian Mitchell, director, Glen MacDonough, librettist, and Victor Herbert, composer,of BABES IN TOYLAND.  I've had law clerks in Chicago looking for 4 years now on the verdict, and I found it at the library!

Congrats, DR ELMORE.  I use Newspaperarchive.com and have a subscription until June 2007....it only cost $29.00 for some special last summer.  Unfortunately not ALL newspapers or all dates are available so it's a bit hit and miss.
