Anyway, I watched three episodes from the set. David Marshall Grant was the main guest star in the best of the three as an ADA who seemingly was the target of a hit man. The story, of course, was much more convoluted than that.

Good Afternoon, once again!

After I finished running my errands, I decided to get some lunch.  Well, since I was down on 125th... And since there was a soul food buffet across the street... And since I had yet to try out said establishment...

Meatloaf... Collard greens... Red beans and rice (Jamaican style)... Black-eyed peas... Okra and corn... Candied yams... Macaroni & Cheese(!)... Fried plantains... And a deviled egg.

YUM!!!!

Needless to say, I went ahead and walked back up to 145th after enjoying such a feast...  With a piece of their Red Velvet Cake in a To-Go Bag.  :)

The other two episodes were also pretty good: one about a suburban hit man using a body farm to plant false evidence and the other involving a 10 year old with a 249 I.Q. being pushed by his father to excel more quickly.

Just the socks?

Well... Technically, isn't Cupid just supposed to be wearing a diaper or sorts - and maybe a "decorative" sash?  Or just a strategically placed bow and arrow?

CSI: MIAMI had the conclusion of the Clavo Cruz storyline begun last week. What could have been a breatheless race against time, however, was wasted on another related story concerning blood diamonds. And the ending gave new meaning to the word "anticlimactic."

The episode also went into the investigation of the shooting of CSI Erik Delko.

I finished the afternoon with last night's HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, a plot which kept reversing itself as blame was traced back to Ted's missing a scheduled flight to Chicago. Pretty funny and a nice way to get in a bunch of brief stories involving all of the cast.

Spent the morning watching the last several episodes of Six Feet Under.  Now I have to bundle up and figure out what I want to do about the snow/ice covering our driveway.  Not that I want to drive anywhere, but the mailman may want to deliver something...

DR Ginny - Did you watch the final episode?  -I don't think I've ever cried so much after an episode of television.

So did I, and some of the images from that final show I can still remember vividly.

I still have last night's STUDIO 60 to watch, but I should be able to get to that before IDOL begins tonight.

And as other DRs have stated, no snow yet here in NYC.  However, it does smell like snow outside - well, more like wintry mix to me.  It definitely feels like winter outside, but it doesn't feel like snow.  Ah, well...

Amazing and satisfying TV for the few SFU watches amongst us.

As for the Helen Hayes nominations again...

I do have to say that I was relieved(?) that one particular person did not get nominated.  If the person in question had received a nomination, I truly would have gotten depressed... angry... even.  ;)

But, still, there are a few questionable nominations - at least in my highly subjective opinion.

Well...  How about some audition stories?  Sounds good to me!  OK!

My favorite monologue:

My second piece is from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, the role of the servant.

"My Lord."

Most overdone songs...

Well, it was like the Kristen Chenoweth-Sutton Foster/Jeanine Tesori Love Fest!

"Forget About the Boy"
"Gimme, Gimme"
"The Girl In 14G"

And only two "Vanilla Ice Cream"s!

As for the men... Well, no real greatest hit... Oh, well, maybe "Lost In The Wilderness".

One of the times when I rolled my eyes...

A young man was in the middle of a monologue...  And he was doing pretty well.  He really seemed to have a pretty good understanding of the language and cadence.  Well... Then I heard...

"And the crowds shall cry, 'Vive la Roi!"

Unfortunately, he pronounced it:

"VEEV LA ROY!"

-Who's Roy?

Yes, DR Jose, I did - twice.  Once "plain" and just now with Alan Ball's commentary.  Very emotional, both times.

I've also had a lovely phone conversation with DR Elmore.

Another time when I rolled my eyes...

A young woman was doing the brief monologue from the Cafe scene in She Loves Me where Amalia is berating Georg.  Well... Amalia addresses Georg as "Mr. Nowack" - which is supposed to be pronounced as "Mr. NoVack".  Well...

"Mr. NoWack..... Mr. NoWack.... Mr. NoWack..."

-I could even hear eyes rolling in the audience.  ::)

...hope you're well-stocked, Jose....you might get socked-in, and I know you probably don't have snow shoes.

Actually, I do have snow shoes...  Well, at least one pair of Merrell Winter Mocs (which I love!), and a pair of Timberland boots.  And couple of pairs of very warm, woolen socks.

Don't know what I did instead.

While I was waiting (briefly) for my bag at La Guardia, I did here an announcement or two of flight cancellations due to the coming weather.  No flights to Indianapolis after Noon.  -I just hope everyone else who attended UPTAs this past weekend was able to make it back home this morning too.  Especially those who were driving back.

I am reminded of poor Connie Francis:

Stupid Cupid you're a real mean guy
I'd like to clip your wings so you can't fly
I'm in love and it's a crying shame
And I know that you're the one to blame
Hey hey set me free
Stupid Cupid stop picking on me

.....

I've always been fond of poor Patsy Cline's rendition too.
