I began my evening watching the original 1931 German version of BERLIN ALEXANDERPLATZ. Well cast, nicely directed for the period in which it was made. No clean up had been done on the movie, of course, so there wasn't a frame that didn't have scratches, dirt, debris, etc.

Had a bunch of characters naturally omitted, but the four major ones were all there.

TOD: One of my favorite soups is turkey carcass soup, made after Thanksgiving. We always cook the turkeys, so we are also the keepers of the carcass.

Yummmm!

We went to see DAN IN REAL LIFE last night, and saw a trailer for ENCHANTED. It looks like it will be really fun!

Oh, and just in case anyone missed my response a few pages back...

New England Clam Chowder has New England clams in it, and Manhattan Clam Chowder has Manhattan clams in it.  New England clams are partial to cream and/or milk, while Manhattan clams are partial to tomatoes.

;D

I loved this definitive answer!   :D

I saw the ENCHANTED trailer when I went to see HARRY POTTER back in July, and my friend Hal and I were laughing through the entire thing.

To celebrate finishing that monster Criterion set, I put in an episode of BONES and watched it. It was the one that had a similar tone to THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. Nice relaxing way to ease into prime time viewing.

I LOVED the show CHUCK tonight. We got some of the backstory on his years at Stanford, and it was just terrific. Fun show and a VERY sexy villain.

HEROES certainly held my attention, but my goodness, how many scenarios have they got going. Seems like the doomsday plot this year is twice as dense as last year's version.

And JOURNEYMAN had a nice twist on the usual "helping someone in the past" scenario. Liked it, but hated Dan's brother.

Tomorrow I start on THE AVIATOR on Blu-ray. There is a load of special features, so besides the 190 minute movie, that will be a lot of extras I'll be watching. I don't think I watched any of them on the SD-DVD set.

<nod>

I think I may need to come up with a flow-chart just to keep track of everything and everyone.

Well I have some things to review for a sentencing tomorrow so I better do that and get some sleep.  Night all!   I have a feeling I may be dreaming about clam chowder...but will it be New England with a cream base or Manhattan with tomato base....hmmm

Potato soup, Tomato Soup and Pea Soup are my favorites, especially if they are home made
Chicken Soup, with rice or noodles is very nice too

the problem I have with Clam Chowder, be it Manhattan (which has a tomato base) or New England (which has a cream base) is that ther are all thsoe yucky clams in it... ruins the whole thing for me!

Saint Laura-  they gave you a hard time on All Saints Sunday?!

Didn't they hear the text of the day,

"Do unto others as thou wouldst have others do unto thee"?
