Sandra!
Great pix and stories of boating mayhem the other day.

And there will be more pictures once my cousin Dona emails some to me. She was the only one who thought to bring a camera to the Daring Rescue. In the meantime, here's a picture of the Chinese restaurant where we ate dinner after the reunion in Wichita. On the far right, you can see our car. This was not long before it broke down.

Maybe I'm mispronouncing Malan though - but I am the one who couldn't pronounce Lance Bass the other day.  Or Reichen for that matter.

I was trying to take a picture of my cousin Mikalah and her "system" for playing Scum. She spreads her cards out randomly in non-matching pairs on the table in front of her and has absolutely no clue what cards she has. Just as I pressed the button to take the picture, my five-year-old cousin Gracie stuck her face in front of the camera.

HERE is Mikalah's system. This was after she'd played most of her cards. At the beginning of the game, her cards were all over the place.

My 2800th post is dedicated to Mikalah, because I like the name.

Now the trek toward 2900 begins!   One door closes, another opens.  Or is that windows?

Also, I watched part of a 50s movie today called THE DAY MARS INVADED EARTH, I think that was the title. I wondered if you had seen this one. The Martians look like people, they concentrate really hard and turn you into a pile of ash, then they become a replica of you. It was on Fox today. A cheapie.

I have seen this movie and last year I interviewed the director Maury Dexter.

MBarnum, did you ever watch that El Brendel movie you have recorded called JUST IMAGINE?

I did watch it. It didn't hold my interest as well as I had hoped, and I can't recall if I saw the whole thing...but I know I at least saw most of it.

I'm listening to the i-tunes, just grooving on a Friday evening. Between my tunes and TPunk's there is a helluva variety. I have to skip the Mariah Careys though.

What did Maury Dexter have to say? It seemed like one of those low-budget movies where they somehow had one good location to shoot at (a big mansion and its grounds), and so they make the most of that one location.
