T.O.D.

It seems like I have done a whole slew of Agatha Christie plays:

THE MOUSETRAP
MURDER ON THE NILE
TEN LITTLE INDIANS
MURDER AT THE VICARAGE

I may have done some of them more than once.  I was asked to do WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION, but  I had already agreed to play Fagin in OLIVER.

I just finished watching the new MOD release of TOP BANANA with Phil Silvers.

Yes, it is not a "movie," but a filmed record of the stage production.  It is what it is.

Nevertheless, MGM/UA should hang their heads in shame for even releasing the picture in its present condition.

This version runs 83 minutes, almost 20 minutes shorter than the theatrical release.

Scenes and sequences were not edited out.  They were chopped out.  Much of the time you have no idea what is happening.

I have never been more annoyed with a DVD release.  Save your money.

Maybe I have just done a lot of murder mysteries over the years.

I am attempting watch Camelot on TCM. It's painful. Vanessa Redgrave vocals have been slowed down from the Broadway versions.

Also is the dialogue in the film as bad as it was on the stage? Lancelot's is especially hurtful to the ears

DR Jose I will have to let Bryan know your friend is one of the owners of Vanille Patisserie.  If you return I suggest trying the incredible chocolate entremet or the caramel one.  Please find out what they are called if you can.  Photos, if you purchase, or not, will be appreciated.

Had your get together been two weeks later I'm pretty sure I would have gone.

Quote from: JoseSPiano: Did you get one of the Samsung models? There's a "Samsung Experience" store in the Time-Warner Center at Columbus Circle, and it's fun walking in there when they're showing off the new 3D "films" created especially for the store.

DR: JoseSPiano: I like the Samsung models but decided to go for an LG LED set; model 47LW550T which has had good reviews.

We would have gone with LG over Samsung after a rather frustrating experience with a Samsung monitor & how they handled the problem.

The Oregonian had a kind of funny photo this morning of a woman celebrating her 89th birthday by going to the grand opening of that Fred Meyer remodel I posted about the other day.  Such is the scintillating social calendar in Portland.

I loved the period of time that I lived in Portland.  What a great city.  I worked in a shooping center in (I think) SE Portland called Mall 206.

Mall 205, next to I-205.

Okay, that sounds right.  It is right across from that restaurant that has the 72 oz. steak dinner.

Great photos, Cillaliz. Looks live everyone had a great time.

They sure do making it even more difficult knowing I just missed out by a couple of weeks, not that I'm going as I wanted to in a couple of weeks.

IN Tahiti.  We will fly there and cruise for six nights on the Paul Gauguin.  The cruise includes one night at the InterContinental Tahiti in Papeete in an Overwater Bungalow.  It should look something like this.
