Hi all.  I"m just popping in real quick.  I have jury duty today and got picked first thing.  I thought I would have most of the day to be on the computer but alas, it was not to be.

I'm sorry to DR Jane if I sounded rude in my email about the phone.  That Virgin phone is cheep to keep but expensive to use.  I need to keep as much money as I can right now for Sheena and maybe for a lawyer so I really can't talk.

Thelma's phone is always busy so I hate to use it and she has the idea that this board is like Facebook and can give her computer a virus.  I told her no and promised I wouldn't go on FaceBook but that didn't help.  That's why I haven't been posting.

Rude?  Absolutely not!  :)

CONTINUED HOUSE VIBES!!!

Ah, DR Ron Pulliam - now I understand.   :)

If you happen to note that skating is being televised, a short post to that effect would be most appreciated, as DR Matt H. has done on occasion.    :)

Hate to say it but I have to go.  The only good thing about this is if I get picked for this trial, it will be all week so I can bring my laptop and be able to be online when I go to lunch.

Laters all!

Thanks again!

Ah, but you left out Good Eats, with a news episode on salmon called Gills Gone Wild!

Ah, you and Keith have your love to keep you warm...not to mention doggies.

When we lived on the East Coast Keith wasn't always around.  I did have more dogs & multiple cats back then.  None of our dogs ever kept us a warm as Sherlock does.  This morning I awoke to a nightmare of someone choking me.  I'm sure it had to do with the fact I had 105 pounds of dog on me and a paw pressing on my neck.  I woke us both up with my cries for help. ;D

Yesterday, I rewatched Jeffrey Buttle's World Championship long program, along with the long program of Brian Joubert and an overly cautious Johnny Weir.

Dick Button and Paul Wylie were the commentators for ABC last year and they both felt Buttle's program lacked sufficient point value to beat Joubert (and Buttle had been 4.5 points ahead of Joubert going into the long program).

They were very, very wrong, so far as the judges were concerned.  Buttle's skate -- the best male skating performance I've ever seen -- beat Joubert's by a considerable margin.  And although Button and Wylie were "tski-ng" over Buttle's not having a quad and, presumably, thinking that Joubert's one quad would give him more points than Buttle could overcome, Buttle's technical score was 6 points higher than Joubert's.  Of course, Buttle had a complete program with great music and very sophisticated footwork.  He also landed as many triples as Joubert did, including a three-jump combination.  Joubert was very good, but his content was more attuned toward setting up jumps than working difficult footwork into the entrances and exits to his jumps.  That was Buttle's strength, I believe.

I'll be very interested to see what develops at the World championships this month.

Probably not the first time Ron has waxed estatically over a great Buttle.

With Anya due and the "secret" out soon, we're really getting down to just a handful of OCRs that I'd love to see on CD:

Cry for Us All
Donnybrook!
Good Old Bad Old Days (OLC)
Gone With the Wind (OLC)--yes, I'm a masochist
Jimmy
Joy
Man With a Load of Mischief (I have the rerecording, still love the original)
Pickwick (OLC)
A Time for Singing

So, Bruce, you have your marching orders.  ;)

Trust me, JMK, you don't want DONNYBROOK on CD.  I gave it another chance a while back, when I had all my records transferred to CD.  Man, it's an almost unlistenable slog!

I actually rather like at least some of it, in that "what a flopola" sort of way.  ;)

What RLP doesn't even mention our soundtrack release?  What a crazy morning it's been - had a whole barrage of rather silly e-mails to deal with (from the author of the long musical) - I was VERY strong.  Then had to proof and do corrections on the Rio package so I can send that for approval, and am now trying to do the same for Anya - needless to say, no long jog today, but I needed a day off.  Then Linda and Kevin will be here at eleven.  Kevin At Eleven - that's the title of my next novel.

I'm going to have to check, but I think der B has Anya on vinyl.  The cover certainly looks familiar.

And DONNYBROOK! also has the wonderful Susan Johnson who alone would make a re-issue worthwhile.

I often don't watch promos or previews. However this promo was running a lot.
And Rob lowe was on a bunch of shows hyping this event. AND even sites like
tv guide had huge polls asking, "which castmate do you think will die on
tonight's show". It made it pretty hard to miss.  I think some of the blurbs
about the show did say "illness" and not death. But they definitely made a
huge deal about the death, which is why i lof of people were asking ?? djkdsfkljlkjkjlkjl dfsjkldsfjkldfslkj;dffffffffffffflksa98888888888888888888888908980ds afudsf980dfs980dfs980dfs098df09df90dfs98df908dfs9 df980df980dfs9809df890

Sometimes kids can say the sweetest things.

Yesterday my niece (3)and I were making muffins (blueberry/strawberry - her decision).

Right before i was going to put them in the oven she turned to me and said, "auntie, make sure you put on the gloves cause i don't want you to get another burn".

The show i am most looking forward to tonight is MEDIUM.

I don't watch THE BACHELOR but if anybody does and doesn't want to waste their time sitting through it there are rumors (which i'm quite certain are true) about what happens during the show

This all sounds really weird and sort of icky. But apparently during the show (the first 2 hours) he proposes to melissa (i have no idea who this is but she is one of the 2 left). Then during the After The Rose (3rd hour) he says he changes his mind. ANd now he's with (perhaps engaged) to molly (the other girl).  The only part that interests me is how
long there was between these two events in real time.dsalkjdfkjldfsakjldsfkjldfskjljlkj
