Very funny.  Not disturbing...or remotely erotic, IMO.

It isn't at all, but some folk might think watching a BBC production (the USA is so antiquated at times) with naked men impolite. I thought it was a hoot, although I doubt there are any potential dates for our DR MBarnum in the cast.

I have not seen Sweeney Todd but I have listened to the OBC recording that has Len and Angela.

Wonderful work and I have listened to that quite a bit.

I'm thinkin' that these animated avatars are not so good for the site - can we please change them to non-animated avatars, i.e. ones that don't move?

Julie,

Your movie and the work you are doing on it sounds interesting.

Good luck!

Good Afternoon!

Back from the gym... :)

The Good News - I got right back into the swing of my "old" routine.  -If you can call a routine I last did a week and a half ago "old".

The Bad News - Well... There is none.  :)

I'm thinkin' that these animated avatars are not so good for the site - can we please change them to non-animated avatars, i.e. ones that don't move?

I was actually wondering the same thing.  I kept thinking that some of the new "slowness" of my reading and scrolling was due to the latest Safari update.  However, I have noticed that when I come up on a page that does not have an animated avatar, the page scrolls normally - no "stutter".  I have a feeling the animated avatars are eating up bandwidth.

Is there a way to non-animate those avatars?

*I remember a similar problem here when some of us tried to post audio and video clips directly into the posts.

I remember your telling me that you knew several of the people involved in the movie and had been hearing about it from them.  It was very emotional to work on that movie.  Everyone connected with it, cast and crew, had some kind of personal 9/11 story.  That final scene - and to be overlooking ground zero like that, was particularly emotional.  It was, indeed, a labor of love for pretty much all involved.

I got a five-disc set of Arthur Fiedler Boston Pops CDs with many never before released tracks - they're a good deal of fun.  Lots of B'way and Hollywood stuff, including suites from The Fantasticks and Company.

DR Ben - I might see you and your ever-lovin' Ant at Chelsea Clearview Cinemas (Where Dreams Come True) tonight for "A Star Is Born".  -Although, part of me is really curious to pop into a Broadway show just to see what the energy is like tonight.

Negotiations were going well until BK walked out in a huff.  Another meeting is set for later today, and the only issue left is one of mopping.

But when it's finally over, will you have to return the picket signs to yourself?

Anyone know the group Weather Report?

Well...we all seem moderately mild today.  Perhaps a bit of fog in the northeast.  Down south there is low humidity and drought.  Out here on the left coast it's cold and sunny...at least in the Bay Area.

Hi folks!

I was here before but didn't get the chance to post.  All heck broke loose.

I received my medical "release" and the doctor but on there I couldn't do anything (even data entry)--all he checked off is that I could "sit".   Well, Hello, do you think they are going to let me go back to work and just sit and smile at people? OY!!!!

He also put on there I am on narcotics (err over the counter Tylenol is a narcotic?  :o ) for pain.

He dated my return to work as 12/15/07 and then crossed that out and put 12/03/07 (est).

I called and told him they won't let me go back to work with that kind of report.  I was told that he is concerned about the crackle in my lungs (totally different from what he said when I was in his office) and he really didn't want me to go back to work until he sees me again next Tuesday.  Now I'm not sure when I'm going back to work.

Oh, and I feel fine, BTW.  I still have that cough but I am taking my meds.

 ??? ??? ??? :( :( :( :-\ :-\ :-\

Sorry to grouse but I needed to vent.

Hope you continue to feel better Danise, and that you get to return to work soon.  And in the meantime, enjoy the break from work.  I'm sure you'll be back in the full swing of things in no time.

What vixmom (and maybe you, Danise) needs to find is a government job....county, state or federal.

Once you get tenured, you have to do something seriously wrong to be let go/fired.

Of course, it helps if you like your job and co-workers.  One should always apply oneself to be the best possible employee in one's position that one can be.

So true - it's almost impossible and takes forever to fire a government worker.  And the benefits are very good, too.

Do any DRs have an HP printer using ink cartridges 56 or 57? I've got several new cartridges I can no longer use and the HP store or customer service is no help about exchanging them for the cartidges my new printer uses, so I have some freebies to give away or toss out.

Elmore, I do..
