I also watched the outtakes and unused footage on the disc under the special features. Funny how some of the unused footage - some beautiful shots of outer space with various planets - were not shot in Cinemascope.

Next, I watched TROG. It's bad, of course, but this is THE best i've ever seen it look. I didn't see it at the theater, so the only times I've ever seen it have been on TV, and TV prints have always been grainy, faded, full of artifacts, and, of course, full frame. There wasn't a spot or splotch on the film at all!

And poor Joan. She had to have been reading at least some of her dialog off cue cards. At certain points, she wasn't facing the person she was talking to but a little up or down from them as she talked.

That doesn't look ANYTHING like the all grown up picture I have of Harry Potter...and I do mean ALL grown up...

Just wondering if you have the same picture I do. . .

No, Mr. Radcliffe is indeed growing into the full flower of his young manhood.

Well, his flower isn't quite in full bloom in the picture I saw...and that's all I'm saying.

Just back for a moment.  Had a nice e-mail from a potential musical director, who I immediately like.  We'll speak this afternoon - he's the assistant MD for The Drowsy Chaperone, and did the same for The Producers, both on B'way and on tour, and has conducted both shows many times.  

Got a proposal from the general manager I've been speaking of, but it's way too much money (he gave me a ball park low-to-high end yesterday, and this proposal is the high).  I'll just have to ask if he can do the low and go on faith, if not I've got to find someone else.  This company is really good and I know he'd do a great job, but it just eats up too much of our budget - even his lowest eats up too much of the budget, but I think we'd save in other areas.

Uh-huh!  That's the one!
Just goes to prove that DR Jason is still a connoisseur of the finer things in life.

Thank you all for the "feel better" vibes. Thankfully, I'm not ill...this cold sore is strictly a result of stress. The swelling is starting to go down, and I'm taking my Lysine, so hopefully it will go away soon.

No break in last night, but we did discover today that another laptop was taken as well, and we may find more missing when/if we ever unpack the cartons and see which ones don't turn up.

I will stop by tomorrow morning to ascertain that the situation is okay.
