I have alredy had two cell phone conversations this morning and I assume I shall have more.   So There!

Well I should think the danger of cell phones will be apparent to vixmom and all who bear witness to the above.

After two cell calls today, she has lost the "a" in "already"...The Lord only knows what she's going to lose next!!!

For BB6 fans:  I was pleased with the results last night.  Very pleased.  As for former housemate Jenny:  Lose the 'tude!  you were the FIRST one in the jury house.  I'm thinking that America loathes you!

I cannot fathom what, if any, career enhancement she is going to realize after the show.  She hasnt any gifts, to speak of...she's not particulary good as a dancer and she isn't striking in appearance.  She's a bit too short for a cheerleader, but perhaps that's why she only gets $50 per game WHEN she can get a game.

Her personality is totally loathsome.  No sponsor is going to want her hawking its products and no professional anything will want to work with her "sort."

I think she's already committed professional suicide...and has amply displayed why she does not have, as April has stated, more than a couple of friends in the outside world.  And now that they've seen her on BB6, they probably won't trust her again.  All that backstabbing and negativity and character assassination didn't just come to her for the show...she has developed it over her lifetime and has LOTS of experience doing it.

Rest in Peace, Derek.

Thank you, Tom Guest, for sharing this news with us, and I'm terribly sorry you had to be the bearer of it.

Derek was a very special light in this forum.  He was eternal hope and acceptance and endurance.

The battle is won, however, for his inner light is now shining more brightly than ever.

How sad for us that we are deprived of it.

As for New York real estate...

I've been noticing a bunch of closed store fronts in midtown lately during my walks.  Who knew that that electronics store that was advertising "Closing Soon" was really closing?  And I noticed that the Manhattan Chili Co. off of Times Square has shuttered.  And a little further down the island, The Big Cup in Chelsea has closed.  -And it's not like that place was not doing any business.  Apparently, the rent on that building has tripled over the past couple of years, and I'm pretty sure making the rent by primarily selling lattes and iced coffees to the bois was next to impossible.

Big Cup closed??!!  I can't believe it, where will all my hotline callers go to get coffee and hook up??

As for cell phones, I only have a cell phone...no land line anymore.  I keep it turned off when I'm at work (unless I'm expecting an important call), but otherwise, I have it on.  I don't get many calls at all, so I don't worry about using it too much.  And there have been several times that I didn't answer it because I just didn't want to (I also have free caller ID). ;)

And back to cellphones for a sec...

Well, if I had not picked up my cell phone this morning - and I happened to be receiving a call from a cell phone - I would not have been able to have been offered and to accept(!) an amazing job!  Let's just say my Spring is now set, and that it will be spent here in New York City in the pit of a Broadway show!

Needless to say, I am VERY happy right now.

:D

That is fabulous, congrats!

I wish Marcellas would refer Kaysar to one of those eyebrow-pluckers he told James about on today's "House Calls."

Eyebrow-PLUCKER?  From their appearance, I thought James was an eyebrow-WAXER!

(Those were some of the most feminine eyebrows since Will!)

Official Topic of the Day:

In my CD player:  a copy of the original Jean Arthur/Boris Karloff Peter Pan with songs by Leonard Bernstein and Incidental Music by Alec Wilder.  After that will be my legally downloaded CD of the new "Leonard Bernstein's Peter Pan" with Linda Eder and Daniel Narducci.

In my VCR:  tapes to tape stuff...I don't remember exactly what, but there are some things that I want to tape.

In my DVD player:  "Bells Are Ringing" and something that JMK is going to get next week! (that's another clue, but cryptic, ain't it??) ;)

James never had his eyebrows plucked before entering the house.  Beau convinced him to let him have a go at them.

As Marcellas chastised James today for letting Beau have his way with his eyebrows, he told James you only pluck from the bottom...and Beau plucks from the top.

(Hmmm, I think there's a sexual innuendo in there somewhere!!!)

BB6:

Did anyone here watch "House Calls" today?  And do you remember the past two evictee interviews?

I'm really amazed that they had James "on" the show on their set.  Both Jennifer and Rachel were interviewed via telephone (IIRC).

No Rachel was there, but her interview wasn't that long. And Jennifer's was so short (mostly i think because marcellas and gretchen hate her and hated not being able to yell at her).

I think whoever gets evicted tonight will not be on live, since they will go to sequester right away (that is why jennifer was not there).

Btw, what a great interview it was with james.
