Philemon - "The Streets Of Antioch Stink"  and "I'd Do Almost Anything To Get Out Of Here and Go Home" may have reflected the audience response (48 performances).

I quite like the Cd.

Thanks DRTOMovOZ....maybe I will give a shot in its new incarnation.  8)

I, too, read that about Moira Shearer, the Vivien Leigh of ballet.

I ordered mine from deepdiscountcd.com but when I just clicked the "Buy It Now" button, it displayed the message:  "* Usually ships within 10 days."  It was just released yesterday!  AARRGGHH!  >:(

I tried watching THE RED SHOES about 15 years ago and didn't get past 1/2 hour of it...I wonder if I would appreciate it better now.

I haven't seen the Benny Hill show in almost 25 or 30 years...maybe I will check it out again and see if it is still as funny.

Same here. On order but hasn't arrived. I'm not expecting it this week frankly. I guess I could pull out my LP, but it's mono.

Ken Mandelbaum said the CD sounds much better than the LP, but those MGM cast LPs never sounded great to my ears, especially CARNIVAL! They also seemed to get worn out/scratchy earlier than other discs. Of course, that might have been my fauly since I played THE FANTASTICKS, CARNIVAL!, SHE LOVES ME, and CHARLIE BROWN so much.

The Chinese Food Story:  My usual place, Bamboo Village, has not been so hot the last couple of times I've been there.  So, I toddled over to a place called Bamboo, next to the wonderful Cafe Bizou.  Now, this place has been recommended to me with great verve by several people - the best Chinese food in the Valley.  I ordered my usual cashew chicken and orange chicken and some white rice.  Couldn't wait to get home and try it.  I should have waited - the single worst Chinese food I've ever tasted - two bites of each dish and in the trash it went (and it was EXPENSIVE!) - totally flavorless, the chicken all soggy and fatty, and the orange chicken without a trace of orange in the flavor.  I put some butter on the rice and ate that.  I guess it's Genghis Cohen or Chinatown from now on.

Good Afternoon!

Where has the time all gone to?

Whew!

Just checking in for a moment to say HI.  We had a wonderful Noon Matinee - one of the Arts Magnet Schools in the area was in attendance.  They got every single joke!  Truly just what we all needed for our last "butt crack of dawn" matinee.  ;)

-And then I ran to the Kennedy Center and back...

-And now I'm back at my parents just freshening up and checking the e-mail...

And now...

Laters...

Wednesday evening greetings!  It's taken me this long to log on because I slept late this morning and had to be at work half an hour early.  As soon as I arrived I had to conference-call in to a 90-minute meeting that was held in Cleveland.  Then, information waitressing, then an extended dinner break, now I'm back IW-ing until 9pm.  Whew!

Happy birthdays to DR Kerry and to DDJ Donald!

BK you should try that Korean place in Van Nuys that I ate at during my last trip...mmmm..mmmm...good! I wish I could recall the name....it was on the main drag.

It is February.

That is correct.  Turn the [calendar] page.

DR JRand - did that yesterday.  I always turn the calendar on the last day of the month, because I prefer looking ahead to looking back.

I did not watch the Dubya's speech last night; he and his crew are taling the term white supremacy to new heights, I detest their policies from the patriot act to the war in the Middle East, I'm unhappy over Alito's confirmation, and I feel that I and many others on this site are sitting ducks for one of this current regime's policies to find an excuse to lock us away or terminate us.  I know I'm being a bit melodramatic here, but this is a crew of evil personnel under the control of worse examples of humanity.

I agree with you, Larry.  Just last Friday I was celebrating the fact that after 29 years, the Gay Rights Bill for citizens of Washington State was passed by our legislature.  However, before the governor had even signed the bill into law, our state's resident ballot petitioner has announced that will seek the necessary signatures to put a referendum to repeal this law before the voters next fall.  Since this gentleman has made a rather well-paid career out of gathering referendum signatures, I have no doubt that he will succeed in getting this measure on the ballot.  Although I think that this attempt at repealing the law will be defeated by the voters of Western Washington, we have the other half of this state that still lives in fear of the gay agenda!

I saw JUNEBUG last autumn, and I liked it.  My goddaughter's godmother is in it, and I liked the cast a lot.  .

Doesn't that make this woman your wife, Larry?

I believe that is ony true of Fairy Godmothers.  Thus Larry it was not necessary for Larry to be married.  He does not qualify in the "Fairy" category. Well that's what I read somewhere.

BEWARE!

They just had a big story on the local television news broadcast regarding the Kama Sutra Worm, or the Black Hole Worm.  It is beleived that this worm is already in  a half a million PCs worldwide, and on Friday morning, it is set to wipe out all of your files on all of your programs, such as Word Excel, etc.

I know you are waiting for the punchline from me, but this is on the level.  Make sure that your anti-virus protection is up to date.

I woke up this morning and I heard voices!  No really!  The problem was that at first, I thought that I was having a flashback to when I was living with my sister and she would would listen to morning news radio.  But no.  I listened, wondering where the sound was coming from.  It wasn't from outside, it was coming from inside my house!  I looked at my clock and it was blinking...ahh, there was a power outage, but why the heck was my TV on??  I went out into my living room and somehow, my TV got turned on by the power outage! (calling TCB!! ;)) That's never happened before.  After turning off the TV, I went back into my bedroom and noticed that my DVD player was on!  What the...??  So, I turned off the DVD player and reset my clocks.  Everything else seems normal, but you never know.  And that was my morning.  Now to the shower, then to work. :)

Hey, just by-the-way -- MY new roommate, the EX, is exceptionally gorgeous and has an absolutely killer bod. He, also, works out 6 days a week. The bod is quite a bit like the hunk in the picture of our new favorite board game...

How did you have time, PennyO, to discover any possible faults?

Can we get to page seven already???

Went to the old Chinese jernt I usually go to, and got the same two dishes I got from the awful other place.  While not quite reaching the heights they used to, it's 500% better than what I almost threw up earlier.
