Okay - so here's the scoop:
As I write, Jane and Keith and Mr. Sherlock Puppyboy Lassner are driving south from Portland, to reach the Ashland Homeland by early evening, i'm guessing.
The Boy has his front legs and chest and shoulders shaved, and looks quite comical. He was glad to see his mom and pop this morning, and jumped and whooped and wagged that Mountain Dawg tail around... this boy will need tranks and painkillers for the next couple of months, to keep him sedate and quiet. Great news: Doc said they won't have to crate him all that time - if he can be calm and act like a 12-year-old, he can hang with the peeps.
Minor miracle: Shoulder should heal up with minimal indication of any lameness Ay-Tall, and there is a 1-in-4 chance (now, if that were your odds in the lottery, how happy would YOU be???) that his elbows will take care of themselves, as Sherlock continues to grow. Let's all hold the space for MIRACLES, and root for that 1-in-4 chance to win, here.
Jane will post as soon as she has the young patient home and settled. Meanwhile, keep the good thought and vibe the good vibe!
