Good Afternoon!

At last... The cleaning and organizing bug hit me again a few hours ago.  I'm not going to try to get everything done today, but I've made some good progress so far.

-And I'm so glad that the recycling program here in NYC takes almost all types of paper and cardboard.  Those magazines and shipping boxes really add up.   -And as to why I've been hoard said magazines and shipping boxes... Well, that's to remain a mystery for the ages.

And according to something I saw on the news this morning, someone is making shoes with retractable heels.  So, it's a flat and a high heel in one!

Joining the 21st century...

My DVR should be arriving this week.

Next week, my new cell phone:

It remains to be seen if I'll be able to access HHW from there.

As for a vegetarian food is concerned...

Are we talking vegan? lacto-ovo? lacto? etc., etc., etc...

In any case...  I'm a big fan of the vegetarian cuisine of southern India.  I'm constantly amazed at how lentils, rice and vegetables can be transformed into some truly delicious eats like dosas...

There's a place around the corner from DR elmore's pad called the Hampton Chutney Co..  They specialize in dosas and uttapams topped or filled with various fillings, some traditional, some not so traditional.  It's a not a true Indian restaurant, but I'd say it's a good starter place.  -Oh, and they do offer grilled chicken as a filling/topping if you'd like your protein from something other than rice and lentils.

And the Zen Palate chain here in NYC - and soon to be in L.A.! - also has some amazing vegetarian dishes.

BUT - the featurette on the this DVD was titled Tyrone Power's Leading Ladies with some nice CLIPS...but the writer claimed that Power was under contract to FOX for "30 years".....so he either signed that contract in 1928 when he was 14...OR he was under contract to FOX for ten years after he bit the dust....

Featurette was written by someone named Bryan Cooper.

Hyperbole seems to be the rule these days.  Last week, Simon took Jordin to task for sining a 60-year-old song (originally sung by Rose-Royce).

Jordin was confused and asked if he thought the 1970s was too old a period for her to be singing.  I read at least one column by someone who suggested Jordin was "talking back" and should have minded her tongue.

I think Simon should have been bitch-slapped by everyone for having ZERO math skills.  The song Jordin sang was from the 1970s...and was anything other than "old ladyish."

What wears me out, when performing this task, is all the DECISIONS that must be made.    :-\

Well, I'm still "recovering" from the unexpected busy-ness of All About Us, as well as my major lazy-ness of last week, so...  Most of what I've gone through so far was junk mail, old receipts and just stuff I should have thrown out in the first place, so... No major decisions involved.  However...  later tonight and tomorrow will most likely be a different story.

-Although, I'm thinking of treating myself to Splash tonight, so... :)

There is a wasp in my room, but it may be Susan Cabot.

It may also be Elinor Eastlake, but for your sake, I pray it isn't!

:D

FYI, Jack, you find this article on the novel interesting.
