Yes AOL makes its subscribers think MANY things that are untrue.

DR FJL is 47?  A child, a mere child!!

But he'll always be older than me  ;D  (I'm a mere 45 years and 10 months)

Although at any moment...I will be a great aunt for the first time and DR jhvw will be an uncle.  Speaking of him...I haven't heard from him in a while....if you are lurking...email your aunt!

Not a fan of AOL at all.... I have another word for it but it would not be very nice to post it.

God!  I feel like the babysitter.

If it makes you feel better, the babysitter I had as a child would be 120+ years old if she was still alive.

Monday morning greetings!  I called in sick today so that I could see the dentist about something that has turned out to be nothing and to get DS Rob back to see our family doctor.  He had a very rough day yesterday with his sore throat and swollen glands, all to be expected says Dr. Frazer.

TOD - filet mignon wrapped in bacon, which we're going to have for dinner tonight along with baked potatoes and green beans.

Also, prime rib, the end cut, medium well.  And English cut pot roast cooked all afternoon with potatoes and carrots.  Actually, there's not much meat I don't like, even liver and onions prepared by my mother.

Is AOL on its way out, perhaps?

One can only hope, BK!

And I must shave my not-so-schoene mug, and then get started on today's work appointment which is about 25 miles west of where I live.

As for the TOD :

The last "New York" strip steak I had (with the Grande Mensch) at Ruth's Chris...

The Pounded Steak with country gravy at M & F in Hollywood....

A great recipe that I have for slow-braised brisket with caramelized onions (after the brisket has marinated for 2 days in a J. Child marinade).

B-B-Q'd ribs at Arthur Bryant's in Kansas City, MO.

Gavin Lee won for Featured Actor,  Raul Esparza won for Best Actor

Thanks! I haven't checked the list of winners yet. I was waiting for this afternoon's scan of VARIETY and PLAYBILL.

Is Lee in the Best Actor Tony category or the Featured Actor?

I've been on AOL since my introduction to the World Wide Wed, but my problems have been relatively minor.

My DSL contract with Bell South allows me to retain AOL for free, and I have kept my AOL address since it's just easier to stay there.

So, I won't be bad mouthing AOL. I've had good results with them for many years.

I suppose, in honor of Ben and Ant's vacation, everyone else is out washing their oatmeal bowl.

Why on earth?

TOD:

A filet mignon cooked medium to medium well (sorry folks, but I will leave the rare meet to the cannibals.

My mother's Swiss Steak with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans (cooked with onion and bacon) or peas.  Yum!

Dear TCB:  If you eat meat of any kind -- rare, medium or well -- you are engaging in "cannibalism."

Those of us who eat meat "rare" or "medium rare" do so for its nutritional value -- none of which it has cooked well or charred.

No, she was in her 80s and grew up on the prairie in North Dakota, she had great stories.  One of my favorites was about the man who got bit by a snake so he bit the snake back. The man lived and the snake died...

Actually, Ron, to be a cannibal, you'd have to be a human eating human flesh or an animal eating the flesh of a like animal.

Edgar was mortified to learn that he'd used the wrong spoon for his clotted cream.
