Here's a story from this morning's Cincinnati Enquirer that may interest some:

Show Must Go On After Fire

DR Ginny, that is really sad!   :(

It probably had DR MBarnum's name all over it!

Now now... I imagine that Mikey's gigantic bullet-shaped device is absolutley lovely and studly, all at the same time.   :o

Dear Elmo.... dear Elmo..... Is you here??

(I always loved the part on "Bewitched" when Samantha would stand in the middle of the living room and say "....calling Dr. Bombay, calling Dr. Bombay...please come in right away......."

Hi dear DR Ginny....It was sure nice meeting you in person in NY !

Likewise, DR MusicGuy!

BTW, the device in the photo of DR Elmore is an

eMac

the same kind of computer I use at home.  It looked so different from the angle in the photo.

Saw this bird outside my kitchen window this morning. Couldn't have been more than 2 inches tall. First time I'd ever seen a yellow bird in my little postage stamp backyard (I mostly get ducks, robins, blackbirds, and cardinals. And the occasional muskratty type thing, as I live right by a manmade pond.

Anyone know what it is?

Looks like a tweetie bird to me.

Well, I guess there's one show in NYC that certain people won't be getting in for free:

"Free Tickets To Play"

Has any DR ever used their cell phone as a modem for their laptop?  How does that work for you?

Oh Naomi, you are so modern and advanced!  I didn't know you could do such a thing.  At least I've never heard of it with my simple phone....

I've used my cell for my Palm TX.  It's clunky and the connection is easily broken if you move it out of the infrared signal range.

To be more precise it's an American Goldfinch.   When I lived at the lakes there were flocks (is it a flock of goldfinchs?) of them near my house. It was so cool to see all these little yellow birds flying around together.

They just boarded the whole group of people that were waiting here in the airport...... and the announcement was  "we need to board the flight to Baltimore in a very quick manner, as our captain tells us that if we can't take off in 15 minutes, then you will all be stranded here in Indianapolis, due to a bad weather front in Baltimore."

You should have seen all of the faces grimacing and plotzing..... and so of course, it seemed that everyone started moving even slower.

Go know !

I think it should be a gob or a glut of goldfinches.

Are they native to Virginia, do you know? Or has someone's pet escaped from its cage? Not that it matters because I'd never be able to catch it...

And thanks for the info, Cillaliz!
