I'm still thinking about DerB's photo from New Zealand! (they don't even speak the same language there).

And Kiri te Kanawa is their loss and Australia's gain!

I think I'll do an errand or two in about fifteen minutes.  I've been working at the piano trying to make a song funny because the guy really wants to keep it in the show, even though everyone else thinks it should go.  If I have no luck over the weekend, he can keep it in as is (bad scanning and laughless) and then it will definitely go.  I have fixed a couple of other iffy numbers, so maybe this will come together somehow, but I doubt it.  I did fix the music for it, at least.

And this, I believe, is John Michael's bid to become the face model for the Filipino version of "Mad Magazine"...

I'm listening to a VERY odd soundtrack to Blood On Satan's Claw, a film from 1971.

Did you notice a lot of men coming to visit their dearly departed relatives frequently?

And speaking of "pink botttoms"...

*I do think it's sort of scary that Emily was carrying around a Victoria's Secret bag.

My first reaction when I noticed the bag ;D

Our serial killer was sentenced to 348 years.

I thing you scrambled the digits - it was 438 years (according to the ASSOCIATED PRESS.

Quote
...He was imprisoned for 13 years after being convicted of crimes that included beating a woman's head against a barbell. The Arizona Board of Executive Clemency paroled him eight years early in 2004. About a year later, police said, Goudeau started attacking again.

Anybody irked with your board who let this guy out?

Considering the season, they're may be no room at the inn box.

Guess I'll head back down now. I mopped the kitchen floor this morning, so that dreaded chore is done with for the week. Time for more DIRT.

I’m enjoying the photos and reading about the seasonal activities.  I have mixed feeling about not joining in on them.  I can’t get to the decorations, let alone set them up.  Because of my wrist I haven’t been on a baking frenzy, while not much fun may be a good thing since I’m on a diet.

I have always enjoyed shopping at my leisure, purchasing because I found the perfect gift for someone & then saving it for the holidays.  Since we moved here we rarely see something I think is a must get item for a friend.  I’m not big on gift cards, I prefer personal items.  It has sort of made me a dud in the gift giving category.

So, here I sit with no gifts to give.  On the plus side I don’t have to go to the post office.

Now if I knew someone really wanted fudge, or cookies, I just might be able to work myself into a baking frenzy next week. :)

Hmm. Perhaps I should get some Ghirardelli Intense Dark Chocolate Squares "Espresso Escape" for myself.

Absolutely, DR Laura - be your own Santa!
