Michael -- Thank you.  That would be wonderful.  I would love to write her a note and tell her how much I enjoyed her work in film and television.  She always seemed so real and unaffected.

TCB, she lives on the Isle of Bainbridge! Check your e-mail for futher information!

I went to the Rock Hall (that's what locals call the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame) and they have early pictures of Simon and Garfunkel when they were Tom and Jerry. Very interesting. Also, lot's of great John Lennon stuff.

Ozzie:

I always hoped that Spin and Marty shared a closet. Is that much the same thing? Spin ends up with that sissy Marty?  Not while I have a breath in my body!

It's a HUGE (Rock Hall) facility. 6 floors. We went in the evening (open till 9 on Wednesday) so we didn't see everything, but the first floor is a very good overview of the whole place. Wow, is Mick Jagger ever skinny!!!

Well, Tigger and Pooh, (they're on my watch) say it's time to go and "evaluate" I may not be back. If it goes past 4pm, I'll be gone from here so I won't be back until later tonight.

At least we would then have known about Spin TCB. Point taken - overseas excursion next year.
The "Tom & Jerry" songs are interesting Ben - Paul & Art attempting to find a "voice" - Everly Brothers at times etc.

Good afternoon DRs!

Gah, I hate it when my sister gets sick and gets to stay home from school.  Usually, we alternate every 2 hours on who gets the PC, but she got up first and I was out of luck.  Is there anyway I can give HER bad karma?

CD--Gypsy OCR, Avenue Q OCR

Cassette--Company OCR

DVD and VHS---haven't had time lately!

BK--I'm glad the dinner with DRs Jay and Jane went so well!  I hate when people force you to eat yummy deserts though!

Jrand and Lulu--love the new pics!  Although I too thought Lulu's pic was of Bettie Page...I have never seen Joey Heatherton look other than blond.

Just back from my WONDERFUL lunch date with three of the loveliest girls in New York City (one of whom is the Christine Alternate in B'way's PHANTOM OF THE OPERA), and I had a ball (oh! An Ethel Merman reference!) Benihana is soooo tasty...I had the chicken/shrimp/steak combo with fried rice and I ate every single scrap of food on my plate. It was amazing, but now I smell like Hibachi, and that's not good. I'll have to shower and change (again) before the theatre tonight.

In my CD player: CHILDREN OF EDEN, GYPSY (London & Movie)

DVD: Nothing. I'm still waiting for a movie from NetFlix... :-\

VCR: Nada. Zip. Nothing.

Must run to the bank now to deposit my paycheck from the Met and my birthday check from Grandmama (yes, it came today--hooray!)

DRs MusicGuy and Kerry: Thank you for the card. I opened it on the subway, and I can assure you, I caught a few looks from various passengers. Teehee!

Maya: The picture I used earlier was Joey Heatherton; then I switched to Bettie Page.  I love the fact that so many people here instantly recognize a 50's cheesecake/S&M model.

Dottie Provine is just jealous.  Jealous, I say!

Btw, DR Emily: I just checked something out that will probably make you furious. Go to amazon.ca and check on the waiting for Boy From Oz. It says 5-7 weeks. I don't believe that for a second. How ridiculous though if it is true.

I understand there has been an understudy Galinda for the last few days.

Since BK brought it up, I think Mr. Jackson believes he is innocent and it all depends on just where you draw the line between an innocent sleepover and molestation.  However the person who is guilty of a crime is the alleged victim's doctor who broke doctor/patient confidentiality.  He can lose his license.

WEL In OZ now any "Suggestion" of possible molestation etc that is evident to a doctor or teacher  MUST be reported to relevant authorities. The reporting to the press is however an entirely different matter. Maybe it's all in the definition - didn't a recent President have difficulty with definitions and terminolgy re sexual acts?

Jennifer--share a slice of tiramisu?  I wouldn't feel too bad if it was half a slice!

Lulu--that explains a lot!  I was beginning to wonder if Joey had gone as Bettie to a costume party!

DR TCB, be careful that U-571 doesn't blow out your speakers. It has one of the loudest and most active soundtracks in DVD history.

Actually no, Bill.  The laws were changed in California, and several other states including Washington State.  The law now requires mandatory reporting by State employees, teachers, and health care workers any time information is obtained involving sexual abuse, physical abuse, or neglect.  The doctor could have received a large fine had it later been found that he knew of this abuse and did not report it.

DR Ron, did George Cukor replace some other director in JUSTINE, and that's why it's not too good. If I remember correctly, it was not his project originally but only a takeover from someone else.

Good afternoon all.  My this site is busy today!
Welcome back to DR Lulu!  We missed you!

Topic Of The Day stuff -
CD player - nothing at the moment
DVD - Finding Nemo
VHS - God only knows...haven't looked in there in a while

I agree with DR Noel...this absurd obession around here with measurments can get tiring at times.  I'm all for a little friendly competition, and I admit I like seeing my status change from Jr Member to Full Member and stuff like that, but racing to get ahead of other Dear Readers can get old fast.  A vanity post once in a while is okay, especially when one is very close to a milestone, but tons of tiny little posts just to boost numbers...not so cool.  We must have quality before quantity, I say!
Again, this is NOT ment to attack or criticize any HHW folk...just putting in my two cents.  Or maybe three cents, with inflation...

Well, just checking in before leaving for the theatre...  I want to get there early tonight to do some "cleaning" of the violin books - I'm more or less the orchestra librarian for this show.  I actually kind of like it... Sometimes it's literally like putting together a puzzle.

-What a nice number of posts to catch up on since I was last on.  And I did go through my box of "stuff", and found only one bill that may end up being late - we'll see how kind the mail gods are to me this weekend.  -I also had to ask myself, "Have I really been to Williams-Sonoma that many times in just the past two weeks?"   :-X

Well, I'm off... See you after the show...  And the party...

Thanks for telling me, Matt,  I would have probably just assumed that the noise was the neighbors having kinky sex again.

I just read that Kristin Chenoweth will miss tonight's WICKED performance, and they're not sure if she'll make the weekend shows at this point. The article said a cold and settled in her throat.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.
