OH!  It's snowing here again right now.  So pretty.  (Ah, a Leonard Bernstein reference.)

My office window looks out on a flat roof, usually, today, however  I am looking at a 5 foot tall representation of the Swiss Alps as sculpted by the Wind..I shoulda brought me camera!

Actually it looks a bit like

The second I read your post I looked at the window and saw that it was snowing here, as well--sideways!

Dr. Westphall's son is playing with the snow globe again!

According to a story on MSNBC.Com,  January 24th is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year.  I, myself, am actually feeling quite chipper.  This may have to do with the fact that my iPod arrived this weekend and I've been playing with it all day here in the office instead of doing any kind of substantial work.  An iPod is an effective mood elevator.  If I were a psychologist, I would hand an iPod to all of my depressed patients instead of the Zoloft and tell them to put on the earphones and start dancing.  True, they might still be depressed, but at least they'll be dancing in the streets instead of walking around with their heads down and their hands in their pockets.

I'm currently dancing in my office chair to Madonna's "Material Girl".

Dr Cillaliz,, congrats on the new SUV

I think it's DR Ann who got the new SUV.  2 years ago I traded in my Jeep for a Prius.  But thanks for the good wishes anyway

I'm not sure things are boding well for THE PHATNOM OF THE OPERA - the Motion Picture. It went wide this weekend (after limited engagements), and it basically added less than $1 million more than it had been making in limited runs. I also read an article about its London showing that said how disappointed in it the WB is in England. It got ghastly reviews last month and opened about 40% below expectations there.

Looks like my predictions that it would make EVITA-type money are coming true.

And then there's this guy named Ken. He keeps signing up for this teacher's classes, although he has never shown up to any of them. I don't even think any of the other groupies have met him.

DRSandra, he sounds like a doll!

Hello, all!  Thank you for the good wishes.  I saw the surgeon at 9:45 this morning, and I see him again in two more weeks.  While I don't know yet if he'll redo the surgery on the one ruptured abscess (the surgery on the other rupture has healed), it is healing, and he seemed more positive today.  I do believe your good wishes and vibes are working.  Thank you.

I just came from the first recording session for this JULE STYNE IN HOLLYWOOD recording, and I was happy with my chart.  I thought Klea Blackhurst did a fantastic job.  She and I dished you, Dear Friend BK. so if your ears burned about two hours ago, we're the reasons.  She asked about you and sends her regards.  Randy Andos was playing trombone, and he asked how you were as well.

The other singers at the session were Brent Barrett who looked fantastic, Norm Lewis, Audra MacDonald who arrived as I was leaving, and Phillip Chaffin.

All in all, a pretty satisfying day.  I also got my bill for my share of the $5000+ surgery last October:  $75.00!

No Paige?

Hmmmmmmmm.....I stopped watching when they started adding BAD designers and using Hildy and Doug so much.  Those two are idiots who couldn't design a practical room worth anything.  Kia is terrible.  Laurie is lazy.....and on and on and on...

Oh well....
