Let's have another photo, shall we?  Here's Pogue's favorite song.

OMG I am watching Around the World in 80 Days on TCM which is in full screen for some reason.

I think DR PANNI mentioned the Christmas Parade in Studio City.....that could be the party!

Find me an empty lap, fellas!  LOL

Of course, all the shows I like are cancelled.
Expect Joan of Arcadia to go next!

Oh I hope not.  I'm just starting to really like it.   Does anyone here watch JAG?

I may have to send Bear to meet your dogs, GEORDIEMC.  Seven years old and he still squats like a girl sometimes.  I'd like to see the snow for myself.  Just once.  Not for long.  15 minutes tops and I think I'd be set for life, snow wise.  I don't do cold.

I deleted a snarky post I made.....completely uncalled for.  If you read it, sorry.

Well, if that doesn't get 'em curious, nothin will!

der Brucer - noticing that "snarky post" rhymes with "Marky Post" - isn't that special!

Since Bruce wasn't invited to the party, I wanted to share a picture of only PART of the dessert table we feasted on this past thanksgiving..  Please note - this is only about HALF of what was available.. and only for 12 people!

Well, you see, that make me want to just go out and buy a pie and eat the whole damn thing myself.  And maybe, just maybe, I will.  Anyone for pancakes?  And what's this I here about a parade?  Tell me, while I was getting ready, did a parade go by?

I can see Bruce singing this while looking out the window.

I see flags, I hear bells,
There's a parade in town.
I see crowds, I hear yells,
There's a parade in town!
I hear drums in the air,
I see clowns in the square,
I see marchers marching,
Tossing hats at the sky.
Did you hear? Did you see?
Is a parade in town?
Well, they're out of step, the flutes are squeaky,
The banners are frayed.
Any parade in town without me
Must be a second-class parade!
So!... Ha!...

I see flags, I hear bells,
There's a parade in town.
I see crowds, I hear yells,
There's a parade in town!
I hear drums in the air,
I see clowns in the square,
I see marchers marching,
Tossing hats at the sky.
Did you hear? Did you see?
Was a parade in town?
Were there drums without me?
Was a parade in town?
'Cause I'm dressed at last,
at my best, and my banners are high.
Tell me, while I was getting ready,
Did a parade go by?

Just walked over to Ventura Blvd.  The parade's just beginning, the streets are jammed but I arrived just in time to wave to my pal Ed Begley, Jr.

I thought that I would share a photo of me standing in front of the Priscilla Hotel For Single Young Ladies. I was hoping that Juliana A Hansen would come out but I guess we missed one another.

No, I didn't talk about THE PURPLE MASK. I've never even seen it!

I was VERY impressed with the remastering job done on CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG. Beautiful picture and nice revamped sound for a 1968 movie. I got so nostalgic for 1968 musicals that I put in OLIVER as soon as CHITTY finished.

JOAN OF ARCADIA is doing just fine, so no worries there. She'll no doubt be back for a second season. And MONK is priceless; no worries there either.

DR JRand, I believe I read some time ago that the Todd-AO version of AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS is gone, lost to the ravages of poor storage and neglect and that the full screen version is all that's left. Sad, I know, but I'm almost positive that's what I read.

Ironic that the widescreen process that bears the name of its financier Mike Todd is no longer a part of the movie that won him an Oscar.   :(

Oh wait, emily already covered the jewish friend

I think we should clarify that with "beautiful jewish friend who has been in a committed and loving relationship with a kind jewish boy for a year as well as who has also been both of our's part-time lesbian lover"...

otherwise Craig's eyes would burst out of his sockets in happiness :)

I agree, JRand, it is shocking. And tragic! We're losing more films all the time, and a couple of films that have been restored lately were caught in the nick of time.

Well, so goes my last night of being able to stay up late.  Gotta go hit some hay.

Craig, I would LOVE to have a piece of the Pecan Pie I spotted in your picture.  I LOVE Pecan Pie.  Can't have it anymore but I love it.

Thanks for answering my question, Mark.

Ya'll have good evening.   Just a FYI--it's 44 degrees here/now and may go down into the upper 30's.  Can you BELIEVE that for Central Florida!?  How cold does it have to get to snow?

Warm vibes to all!
