I forgot to post my favorite moments here yesterday

Meeting everyone at PennyO's wonderful play last April, my day at the Central Park Zoo and rding the Central Park Carousel with dear Danise

The Walking/Eating Tour... I look forward to meeting more of you someday!

The friendships and support I have found here. One example:  One night last I was unable to sleep because of an issue with the Vixter's school and I jumped on here at 3 AM trying to keep my mind off of it.  Who should I find but Rodzinski who was in California foer a basketball game.  He kept me sane that night!

Another:

The Vibes and emailed comfort sent by so many of youwhen Vixdad was going through his "procedure" last November!

Well unless any of you wish to show further freidnship and support by showing up here RIGHT NOW and helping me with housecleaning I am off .............

No takers? Oh well!

BTW The Vixter received her NYSMMA score yesterday (that music adjudication she went to last Saturday) she received one point off for that note she said she "swallowed" and that was it! So one point off from perfect !  Thanks for the Vixter Vibage!

Still no takers on the hosuecleaning?  You could just send me a
Merry Maidagram

Oh well mop and broom here I come!!

See you Monday!!!

Good morning!

Beautiful day here after all that rain. Cool temperatures (low 70s for a high today) and brightl, blue sky. Perfect weather for April.

Joey Luft (who now uses Joe, I believe) is Lorna Luft's brother. Judy gave birth to him a day or two before the Academy Award telecast where she lost Best Actress to Grace Kelly.

Very true that neither Grace, Jack, nor Karen resemble anything remotely human on WILL & GRACE any more. (They can still make me laugh with their outrageous shenanigans, however). Of the principals, only Eric McCormack has attempted to keep Will on anything like a human plane of existence, and I find his acting choices very interesting on the show.

I was delighted that the writers brought Vince (Babby Canavalle) back into WIll's life last night, and it's my expressed hope a happy reconciliation can be worked out between them. Nothing would make me happier than to have the first long-running network gay main character to end up happily in TV syndication heaven.

Cranky Critter, the Croc!

Quote
SYDNEY, Australia (AP) -- A 14 1/2-foot crocodile mauled a chainsaw a worker was using Friday to clear up debris left by a tropical storm that lashed northern Australia. While the croc and worker were both uninjured, the saw's woodcutting days are over.

Freddy Buckland was cutting up a tree that fell against a crocodile enclosure at the Corroboree Park Tavern, 50 miles east of the northern port city of Darwin when the crocodile, called Brutus, apparently took exception to the chainsaw's noise and attacked.

"As he was trimming up the tree on the outside the croc jumped out of the water and sped along the tree about 18, 20 feet and actually grabbed the chainsaw out of his hands," said Peter Shappert, the tavern's owner.

"It must have been the noise …

Saltwater crocodiles have been known to attack small power boats, apparently because they do not like the noise of outboard motors.

PS I guess you don't take your pet Croc to a Rock concert.

Anyone who saw "Bones" on Wednesday will find this news story creepy!

Body Parts Sale

Quote
...they were told that an unscrupulous crematorium owner secretly carved up her body - along with the bodies of hundreds of other newly deceased - and provided knees, elbows, heads and other parts to medical research organizations in exchange for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
...
But it's a risky business: Stolen body parts that are implanted in humans can potentially expose recipients to HIV, hepatitis and syphilis, according to the FDA, although the risk of a recipient contracting these diseases is small.

One concern in the Brooklyn case is that patients who got allegedly stolen tissue could develop the same illnesses that killed or sickened their donors.

Hiya, Bruce!

Boy, oh boy! am I happy we're going to read the play today!!! (Maybe TMinoff would come by, and check out the role of Miriam... just to keep Jolie on her toes? We could have Tammy read the stage directions...)

Anyway, the whole thing was printed out - I made some changes to page 29 - and now I can't get the printer to print it!! So, maybe the printer knows something I don't???

I stopped in for chat last night - but found myself all alone... Earlier I had stopped in and a few of us exchanged pleasantries... BK had already left to go to the editing room. Then I left 'em to go grocery shopping. All I wanted for dinner last night was kumquats... what's THAT about? Love that SOUR!!!

If you (or anyone) ever need sheet music, I have a collection of EVERYTHING Stephen Foster ever wrote or arranged. :) Numbered, limited edition, too.

When I used to do concert tours, in with the Debussy and Alban Berg and the Italian Baroque sets, I always included a set by Stephen Foster. How beautiful the songs are. I sang Jeannie with the Light Brown Hair, Beautiful Dreamer, Nelly Bly... others.

Hello, Brucer! Howz the menagerie?

Well, I'm menaging to keep them somewhat under control.

Fletcher filched an empty can of crushed tomatoes, and Angie ended up chewing on the 4" very-sharp tin lid! The only way to protect trash and garbage is to take it outside and put it in the trash can their - then it's up to the Racoons to open the lid and have a scatter-day!

Tonight we take "Angie" to the local bar&grill for "Yappy Hour" in preparation for her Doggie Walk on the boardwalk tomorrow.

der Brucer

PS Fletcher managed to distribute and/or consume a three pound bag of apples last night!

Yappy Hour!! I love it! There is a dog park here in the neighborhood - after I go to the gym each day, I mosey over there to visit with the pups. Haven't had my own dawg in years... that's the hard thing about being On The Road. But there are fine dawgs everywhere - and they are usually very welcoming of new playmates.

Apples, huh? wow... I knew most pups like carrots - but apples?

The apples were a substitute for the raw potatoes he regularly stole from the veggie drawer!

Fletcher is the only one strong enough to pull open the heavy drawer, but he shares the apples with the whole tribe. (well, he doesn't mean to share, they are just very good at snatching them from him!)

They All Love Avacados - that's the title of my next novel.  Speaking of my next novel, it's time to start something new in the next month or so - if I can figure out which idea I wish to pursue.

MEdia CHEck

iPod:  JULIE AND CAROL AT CARNEGIE HALL (I'm guessing that this would be much more fun to watch instead of just listening to) and ANNA RUSSELL AT THE SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE (at least, that what I think it is--the mp3 files I downloaded merely say "Anna Russell Sydney")

Tivo:  Woody Allen's SHADOWS AND FOG, this week's LOST recap show, and the SOUTH PACIFIC Carnegie Hall concert (Yes, I'm watching it again this weekend.)

If you need to get rid of a still working monitor or computer that you are simply upgrading why not wipe the hard drive and then donate it to the Salvation Army, local church etc?  No "dumping" fee and you may actually get a tax deduction out of it! (Hope I'm not treading on FJL's toes here!)
   :D

You're better off taking the hard drive out than wiping it. Wiping it does not remove everything. Trust me on this one. We have been able to recover all kinds of things from "wiped" hard drives
