Well, I'm going downstairs now and watch A MIGHTY WIND until the Peanuts special comes on. Should be able to squeeze it in before network TV begins.

Top the evening, all!

Can't say anything about BattleStar until I see it on Saturday.  I did rewind a bit of the tape (I always go over by about 10 minutes when I tape something to make sure I get the ending) and it seemed there were a LOT of commercials.  I think I will be glad I taped it instead of watching it so I can FF them.

Received my shipment of Babylon 5 Season 2 & 3 today.  Yay!  Highlander Season 1 is backordered.  Thank you again, Craig for the discount code.  How often to they have them?  How do you find out about them?

I never really cared for Robert Redford so I can't say anything about his movies.

I also prefer satellite instead of cable but I like my cable modem much more than dial up.

Sorry to hear JRand is ill.  Hope you had the flu shot, just it case.  Get well soon!

Glad to hear that papers and themes are done.  Keep up the good work!

Taye Diggs is going to be WICKED's Fiyero from Christmas to Jan 18.

No Norbert.  Sigh.  The Gods are against me.

Taye Diggs as Fiyero could be very interesting.

Norbert Leo will get a chance, I suppose, to spend Christmas with family out of state.

Taye is Idina's hubby so they'll both be very happy.

It's nearly pitch black outside right now.  Major storm brewing (has been all day) but has only been spitting rain, blowing leaves off trees and it's cold.

Will probably be a torrential downpour in time for commute!

This is Norbert (Leo Butz)

He had leading roles in The Last Five Years, the tour of the Cabaret Revival, Thou Shalt Not and took over for Adam Pascal in Rent (he was a swing in the OBC and then moved up).  Wasn't there also a non-musical straight play last year he was in too?  I remember being surprised at his nomination at the most recent Drama Desk Awards.  The name escapes me.

One of the reasons I really wanted to see Wicked was because I adore him on the Last Five Years cast album.  Oh well.  :(

Oh hey - I got a notice from a club I was a member of for awhile, then lost the address....   For anyone interested it is The Gale Storm Appreciation Society.

Gale is very active in the club and emails and writes to members regularly and personally - the newsletter has a LOT of vintage photos and articles about Gale.

Only costs $18 a year - the price of a DVD!

Send a check made out to Richard A Bullis to:

Richard A. Bullis
Gale Storm Appreciation Society
6119  3rd  Avenue South
St Petersburg, FL  33707

I'm going to renew!

The official website is www.galestorm.tv

Humble apologies to DRs for my absence for much of tomorrow (I know I shall be missed during the lull hours!) but we have invited friends for a daytime viewing of LOTH TT. You are of course welcome too TCB but I have a feeling you would rather wash your hair!

Jrand--ruv the new pic!

Emily--I also love NLB, but they could have done a LOT worse in casting a replacement Fiyero!

Forgive the lame pun...but I dig me some Taye Diggs!

A frustrating day, or so der Brucer claims.  He set out to find some cheap planters, for transplanting the rosemary "trees" we bought earlier, and there were none to be had!  None at all!  Or, rather, none as cheap as he wanted (meaning, nothing under $2 each).

It seems all of the gardening departments and shops in our neck of Delaware have either closed entirely, or are dedicating themselves to selling Christmas trees and other holiday goodies.  For some reason, none are selling cheap planters.  Could it be that IT"S NOT PLANTING SEASON RIGHT NOW???

Sometimes, der Brucer can be so silly.

On the other hand, we did find a very nice angel to top our tree, all done in sparkley golden wire.  That, and he found an entire menagerie of animal ornaments.  As it stands, we're going to have more ornaments than there will be room on the tree!

Well, well, well.  Actor Christopher Sieber, who plays the good-looking gay dad on It's All Relative being interviewed in next week's TV Guide, answers the obvious question with, "Yep, I'm gay."  No hemming, no hawing, no "that question is off limits"; just a plain and simple, Yep.

Hooray for the 21st century.

Computer nerds  experts please NOTE:

YEsterday, I had sound, today it's all mute.  For the life of me, I cannot get my computer to play sound.

I don't get any messages saying the sound device is missing or associated with anything else.  Everything reads as though the sound is there, only it ain't coming through the speakers.

Any suggestions?????

DR Emily you will be in NEW YORK!!!  There will be other compensations! Enjoy yourself!  You will have a blast!!!

Don't worry SWW - I will be enjoying myself thoroughly WICKED or no-WICKED.

The thing is I am travelling with two very downer people (i.e. Andrea and my other friend) who have not been able to get excited about ANY of the plans I have tried to made (and who haven't SUGGESTED anything either).  So hearing about the one thing I reaaaalllly wanted to see kinda disappointed me more than it would otherwise since right now I am my one person cheer squad.

These same people also are either cheap or uninterested enough to accompany me to more than one show (and I refuse to go alone) so I have to make the one I do go see amazing.

Oy.  But I am still really excited to go.  Really.   It's just the stress of being the only person of my travelling entourage who has any interest in making any serious commitments to plans or to the one thing I actually want to do  :(
