Jose, I'm sorry that your car was broken into but glad that nothing was taken or destroyed.

Freddy follows Bosco around all the time, like a little pal! But Bosco is a bit jealous of Freddy...if he notices that Freddy is getting any attention at all he trots right over expecting to be pet as well!

I'm betting he's jealous that you pick up Freddy and stroke him.

When's the last time -- if ever -- you could do that with Bosco?

BK, Heard from Joan Rue, Sara's mother.  Apparently Dee-Dee had already relayed your glowing notice of her to her proud mother this morning.

Best of vibes to Elmore!

So, for the first time since starting to jog again back on April 2 I decided to change the end of my route.  I ran another half-block south and then ran next to the LA River wash.  The only problem is that every block is one-half block longer there, and then the block north back to my street is almost two blocks long - I'm ready to collapse.

Another favorite animal star who stole the show, so to speak:

Mike the Dog...as "Matisse"...in "Down and Out in Beverly Hills."

That was 20 years ago...so may he rest in peace.

If (when) I go I won't be here daytimes any more... no more private office....

DR Vixmom - Are congratulations in order yet?  As the occupant of  the least private space in our cube farm, I can tell you that posting is tricky, but not impossible.  Probably not during a new-hire probationary period, though...

DR Elmore - and we're here on this end.  Continued vibes...

Better run, it's my first day back at work and I must say it's going quite well so far.

I'm trying to get out of being supervisor. It's no additional pay and TONS of additional headaches.  I have the corner office, but that's not that big a deal anymore.   The other lawyer here doesn't want it either, so I'm hoping we can work out some sort of splitting of the duties.  Who knows.

I was missed at the Federal Building. That's sweet. Unless something changes drastically, I've decided to stay.

And by the time my boss gets here on Wednesday to really discuss it further, I'll probably decide I want to stay the supervisor.  Amazing what a month off can do

DR Ginny:  I am so sorry your friend had this bad experience in Asheville.  I haven't been there since the early 80s.  Prior to then, I visited often...and went to college outside of Asheville from 1966-70.  It has always been a beautiful city, and I never had any parking problems.  But places change.

That was a very interesting article.

We had "another' hit-and-run this weekend....a woman was struck on a city street by a car (driven by a teen, according to witnesses).  The car was doing about 60 in a 25-30 mph zone.  The woman died.

Sigh.

It'll be another 30-45 minutes before I can go get something to eat.

DR Ron Pulliam - the irony is that she and I park in a similar lot here in downtown Dayton.  She and I first visited Asheville together, following a conference in Charlotte in 2000.  I've been back once, on a AAA bus tour with my mom in December 2001, the highlight of which was a candlelight tour of Biltmore.

Has anyone read or heard anything about Rita Wilson's performance as Roxie Hart in "Chicago" on Broadway?

I know she took over the role a week or two back...but haven't seen or heard a thing.
