TCB - Thankfully, the Hilton two blocks from the theater where Skip's show will be playing has a $109 rate on weekends.  :)

So you will be coming to Vancouver?

I just spoke with former DR Jason who will be taking care of the DK's (dear kitties) for us while we are out of town.

Maybe DR  Jason can use your computer while you are gone so he can post at this here site again.

I actually like warm weather... It is far nicer than the winter temperatures we get that are subzero!!!

TPunk, when do you leave for Sultry California...

We depart early Saturday morning. Most of our time is going to be spent in San Jose in northern CA, which is a little cooler than LA. But as I mentioned before we are going to spend a few days in LA.

I am eager to get my hands on PERRY MASON!

I am gonna pick up FAMILY AFFAIR season 1 tonight...along with the newly released vintage Mexican horror film THE WITCH'S MIRROR (in both Spanish and English dubbed versions).

Not yet, MBarnum.

The air conditioning has chosen a most peculiar time to crap out.  I called the guy who takes care of such things - hopefully, he can get out here today to deal with it because it's HOT IN HERE.

It is a very nice day here -- it has been cloudy today. It feels very much like we may be blessed with a storm tonight. It is 2:40 p.m. and only 102F. A very nice day.

I've had a very full afternoon. Lunch out with friends, then a nice trip to Target, back home in time to watch something on tv, and then the movies this afternoon.

Most I've done in an afternoon in quite a while!

And I still have my bedroom to clean! The fun continues!  :D

TCB - Plans keep changing.  Skip may be zooming in and out of Vancouver, WA - just seeing his show there, then heading on his way - while we both spend some time in and around Seattle first week in August, assuming all goes according to plan.  Don't know where we'll be staying Seattle-wise, but I'm sure it won't be luxurious.

I watched last night's CSI: NY. It was one I remembered seeing once I got into it, but I watched it until the end just killing time until I needed to leave for the movies.

This was the one about guys playing "urban golf" on the streets of NYC. The other case involved the death of a museum founder.

X-MEN: THE LAST STAND was pure comic book from beginning to end, and thus was enjoyable because it wasn't trying to be anything else. Astounding special effects as always and my goodness did the casting agents pick some luscious eye candy for many of the male mutants! More than worth the price of admission.

And Target wasn't nearly as busy as I was expecting. With schools out now, usually it's filled with moms and the neighborhood kids in tow, but the store really was not crowded this afternoon.

Really hot in here.  I don't use the air conditioning much - but I have to have it on for about an hour twice a day to keep things cool in here, and it hasn't been on since last evening (when it was working fine).
