Well, you've read the notes, you know what month it is, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're off playing with illegal fireworks right now.

A COLT REP knows all about pictures that feature the PECTORAL.

Well, at least DRs TCB and Elmore will know what I'm talking about.   ;D

July is Cell Phone Courtesy Month.

Why does that sound like an oxymoron?

July is National Baked Beans Month.

And National Hot Dog Month.

And National Pickle Month.

And National Ice Cream Month.

And Grilling Month.

Which all makes sense, since July is also National Picnic Month.

(It is also Family Reunion Month, which sounds like a good excuse for a picnic.)

July is Tour de France Month.

July is also Women's Motorcycle Month, which sounds like cheating.

And July is also Wheelchair Beautification Month, which doesn't sound like cheating at all.

Why is it I have a relatively easy time with the convoluted Unseemly Trivia questions about musicals, but such a difficult time with the simple questions about straight plays?

Good morning!

I've been up since 4;30 a.m. Not sick or anything. I guess I was just too tired to sleep. May try to squeeze in a nap later, but right now, I don't even feel tired despite the lack of a full night of sleep.

Since I've been up so long, I was able to watch two movies all the way through, two documentaries on the DVDs, do a workout, wash a load of linens, dry them, and fold them. Wow!

First I watched the documentary on the CHARLIE CHAN IN PARIS DVD. It was basically about Earl Derr Biggers and gave lots of information about him I didn't know.

Next, I rewatched ANNA KARENINA, probably my favorite Greta Garbo film. How wonderful the actors in the movie are! If they had had the supporting actor category in 1935, surely Basil Rathbone would have won the award for his performance.

After my workout, I rewatched Hitchcock's STAGE FRIGHT and the making of documentary on the disc. Again, a film I never tire of watching.

I'm up, I'm up, and too early.  The phone ran at seven-thirty - I needed someone's address and since they're on the East Coast they were leaving it for me on voice mail.

We were hoping to have lunch at an outdoor cafe where the dogs are allowed to sit with us.  But it just seems too hot to do that, for the dogs' sake, that is.

Good morning, all!  Today's been quite strange so far:  my brother and sister-in-law are in Indiana till tomorrow, so it's my nephew Matt, the dogs Mattie and Max, the ghosts and I.  Last night around 3 AM, the dogs sdtarted barking so I let them into my room, where they invaded my bed, fought over who was lying the colsest to me, and I finally threw them out.  I got up around 6 to let them out and went back to bed to have more of the same canine battle continued.  I finally got up around 8:30, had breakfasdt with my brother Tom, his wife, and my dad, ran some errands, and here I am.

Today I've got more BABES IN TOYLAND edits, and I may have some babysitting with my dad while Yom and donna run errands.  Their band just did a demo and I've been playing it all morning.  I love Donna's voice.

I heard from our DR MBarnum this morning:  he was in a wreck yesterday that totaled his car.  I'll let him tell you more, and I believe he wrote that he had a concussion.  Perhaps, like the taxi crash improving Florence foster Jenkins' high F, it will improve his mind.  Let's all send him some vibes!
