I almost just wrote to get a frenzy going, but I know what kind of dirty minds some people (A SS reference) at this site have!

LOL! Someone offered me a frenzy and I totally missed it? Typical

Watched a bunch of things once the cleaning chore was out of the way.

I found out when I was on-line this afternoon which episode from Season 1 of THE CLOSER Kyra Sedgwick submitted for the Emmy voting, so I wanted to rewatch it.

For those who know the show, it was the one where Brenda was almost raped by a suspect as she combed through a crime scene alone. She's wonderful in the show, but the nature of the ensemble makes it tough, I believe, for her to win for this episode. Others on the show get a lot of screen time. I know in the episode that Mariska Hargitay submitted, she's on the phone in dramatic conversation with a child being held captive as she tries to glean information from her so they can locate her. And I read that Allison Janney submitted a WEST WING episode where she was front and center almost the entire show barking orders and being very assertive.

Frances Conroy submitted the gut-wrenching series finale of SIX FEET UNDER for her entry. I'm not sure which episode Geena Davis submitted.

My mother found me this great reisling wine in a bottle shaped like a cat.  Don't know if the wine will be any good but the bottle is really cool. I'm going to look for more of them. I guess they come in all colors

And I couldn't just watch one episode of THE CLOSER so I kept it on for the next one on the disc, the one with the autistic child who witnessed a murder.

Another good one.

I saw one of Collin Firth's costume from Pride and Prejudice last Thursday night. Too bad he wasn't in it

Next, I watched the rerun of COLD CASE which I had not seen due to sports runovers earlier in the year.

It had to do with the murder of a Vietnam P.O.W. after he got back to the US. Very mournful tale.

DEADWOOD had a gripping hour with its customary measure of violence (a truly brutal fight to the death in the middle of the street; there was also a suicide later in the episode.)

And I finished the evening with GREY'S ANATOMY. This was the Thanksgiving episode from this season.

Even though I'm seeing the episodes out of order, having seen the first two episodes of the show last Thursday, I had no trouble following the relationships as they've progressed over the course of a bunch of as yet unseen episodes.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I did finish watching LOVESPRING INTERNATIONAL. The Eric McCormack episode wasn't nearly as funny or interesting as the episode I watched last week.

Tonight is the season premiere of RENO 911! as well. The DVR picked it up while I was watched GREY'S ANATOMY.

So, I'll have that and ENTOURAGE to watch tomorrow.

Toby's been on good behavior.  (He seems to have figured out that when Molly's around, he gets more treats.  :)  )

Yeah! For Toby and Dylan. They were very nice when we visited.  Molly is lucky to have such a friendly place to stay while her human is away

Well, I'm off to bed. I was doing fairly well on my diet until today. I had fabulous fried chicken, fresh green beans cooked with bacon, my mother's potato salad, fresh radishes and a home made angel food cake with marshmallow frosting (it's my mother's favorite, so if she makes a birthday cake, that's what you get).
