And very safe travelling to DR Elmore.......I'll have you know that I've been doing some Googling on you, and find that you have added great amounts of beauty and richness to this old planet!  Admiration is glowing here for your work.  :)

And, I've been Googling you, DR MusicGuy, after DR Ben gave us some links yesterday to a couple of your recordings.  Might we have heard you play at The Organ Stop, sometime between 1988 and 1996?

I was about to add Singin' in the Rain to my list and I see that Mr. Kimmel has included it. I assume there will be more than one print available or else we will have to be on the same island.

I would like to add Les Enfants du Paradis to my list, but I don't know which one on my list of ten I'd take off.

Thank you for all the vibes!  In about 15 minutes my brother Randy will drive me to Dayton - in a car and not with a chair and whip - and I shall being my eastward ho! trek.

This is a day that the Macbeths have been behaving badly, and I worry about the sibling fallout.  On the positive side, my dad is doing well; he's got his inner fire back, and he has this cute little walker on wheels with hand brakes that's providing him with a lot of fun.

Dear Friend BK, I had the charts at one point because I got a call several years ago (pre-2004) about letting a production use them.  I fear they're at the Library of congress, since my memory is they weren't anywhere near the bookcase that collapsed.

I will see you all back in Manhatta.  Stay well, dear friends!

I think I had to buy the two plots because they are in the military section.  It was odd how it all came about but a good lesson  for some....

<SNIP>

Not exactly a pleasant morning topic but one we all have to deal with sooner or later.   :D

People SHOULD talk about this more.  A few years ago, my sister actually bought ME a burial plot for Christmas! ;D

Looks like I won't be on-line tonight. I'm at work right now but the phone line at home is not working. According to Verizon the problem is on their end. They can't send a technician until tomorrow morning so we will be phone free until sometime around 11am tomorrow morning.

buh bye

Wow!

We've just had another BIG thunderstorm. Lasted about fifteen minutes, and now the skies have cleared, and it's HOT outside.

Summer - ya gotta love it.

After calling the CI 3 or 4 times and having them first not have a reservation for me, sending the confirmation email to them and now hearing they will investigate, I decided to bite the bullet and get a room at the Milford Plaza.  It's more, but I can get 2 beds so it will be a lot more comfortable for my nephew and I

So at the moment I have 2 hotel reservations.  I've spent too much time going round and round with the CI manager to just cancel mid investigation, so I'll let her investigate and then cancel down the road a little when she's forgotten all about me.

I got UNKNOWN CHAPLIN on DVD in the mail today, so I put it on (one of my favorite all-time documentaries/miniseries) particularly to see the special "making of" feature (where did they get that fabulous footage used in the three programs. The answer was surpring: not all from the same person.)

Next I watched last night's MEDIUM rerun. I remember a fair amount about it but not the end which surprised me all over again.

Finished my afternoon viewing with the Biography program on Truman Capote. Of course, this was produced before the movie CAPOTE so there's no mention of that. But it's a nicely compact summary of his life and times.

Still have the Angela Lansbury program to dub onto the hard drive later today, and then what I'll watch this evening is kind of up for grabs. Maybe some more WILD WILD WEST. I'm on disc 5 in a 7-disc set.

Topic of the Day, in alphabetical order (since it practically changes by the minute):

1. Brokeback Mountain
2. A Christmas Story
3. Lord of the Rings Trilogy (I agree that this should count as one selection)
4. Maurice
5. The Muppet Movie
6. Singing In the Rain
7. Some Like It Hot
8. South Park:  Bigger, Longer & Uncut
9. Star Wars (a.k.a. Episode IV:  A New Hope)
10. The Wizard of Oz

11. Bonus Selection:  Meet Me In St. Louis
12. Extra-Bonus Selection:  The First Nudie Musical
13. The As-Soon-As-It's-Released-To-Make-It-a-Baker's-Dozen Honorable Mention:  The Creature Wasn't Nice (the director's cut ;D)
