Oh course, what many readers missed in Yin and Yang's dueling articles in Theatre Arts was that Noh is a form of Japanese Theatre, not Chinese, and they were slyly commenting on how Occidentals will confuse any Asian for another. These guys were not only esoteric, but also highly satiric.
A few years later, of course, Yin wrote another artice for Films and Filming about Hollywood's propensity for casting Chinese actors as Japanese in WWII movies. I believe the article was called, "Keye Luke, Which Way Are Those Feet Bound?"
