The Tour de France has been thrilling this year!

You see, it's August and we still don't know who... the winner is! LOL!

TOD (amended) - DVD - Syriana.  Even my DH and DS are having trouble following it and I gave up.

Cute pup George....

Have had fun on my end today. A person is posting all their old Search for Tomorrow clips on AOL... My, my, my what big hair we had then... Matt looks like a young kid...

One scene had Olympia Dukakis in it...

After watching I did some reading, I did not know that Rowdy Gaines, a gold medal winner from the LA Olympics in 84 guested on the show...

Well, I think MONK, which I'm watching, continues to jump the shark.  I find the character no longer interesting and quirky but totally assinine, put into sitations wherein he's a fish out of water for needless attempts at humor, tonight's episode taking place a rock concert.  He confuses a portable toilet for a phone booth while actually walking past a real phone booth and behaves as if in his years as a cop he'd never confronted rowdy rock concert patrons or had a remote contact with any reality.  A cople of weeks ago, during a garbage strike he mailedhis garbage to his shrink.  It's a cheap joke, like the toilet-phone booth, but seems totally beyond the realities of this character.  What has happened to a once excellent series?

I hate it when a once well written show falls apart. It is insult to the actors and the viewers alike.

Sheer laziness in writing and direction. Production values may also be suffering

People fail in all fields without the intention of "insulting" others, I want to think! That's life! We can't always be on top! ;)

DR Elmore - you were right about this Eileen Heckart book.  It's making me want to see her movies and, even more, her TV dramas.  I remember being so-o-o-o bored when my parents watched Playhouse 90 and such.  What did I know?

My Niece went to Minneapolis today and drove through the area hit by a tornado yesterday. She said it looked like someone took a giant lawn mower and mowed down all the trees
