Well, you've read the notes, you know what the initials KIP stand for, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they think KIP stands for Kows Is Pretty.

After that was the dance portion of the audition (I'm still a little achy from it ).

And since George went to the audition on lark, and already has more than enough on his plate (what with hosue buying, and moving, and house warming, and getting toys and porn back under the bed), and surely has no inexpugnable urge to perform at this time, there is a near certainty he will be cast! :D

Meanwhile, back at the farm (since I was so rudely cut off from posting this "yesterday")...

After the singing, they had the readings.  We just did cold readings from the script.  I would assume that some people know the movie (I have the DVD but haven't really watched it, but I love the other stuff that they've done)....

Just as I was leaving after the two and a half hour audition (7:00 to about 10:30!), Pug gave me a big hug and said "It'll be so much fun working with you, again!"  I asked, "I'm in??"  And she said, "Of course, you’re in!"  So, I’m in!

And do you know what I'm in?  Well, the theater group is called Theatre Artists Olympia (TAO) and the show that they're doing is CANNIBAL! THE MUSICAL[/b] by Trey Parker (of future "South Park" fame)!

They're a small group, but they've done some pretty ecclectic stuff.  Click HERE to see their Production History.

My friend Kim (who originally sent me the e-mail and who has already been cast in the silent part of Liane, the horse) was in their production of "Vampire Lesbians of Sodom."  I wanted to see that, but I wasn't able to.  Kim's husband, Russ, will be in the show also.  I met Russ and Kim in a local production of Annie, where we all played several parts. :)

From what I understand, the movie was made by Trey Parker when he was in college.  I'd heard that the DVD has a recording of songs from a stage production.  I bought it a couple of years ago, but, of course, it's in storage, right now.

I don't know if it really is any good, but I like "South Park" and "Orgazmo," so I would assume that people who would choose to see this because it's by Trey Parker won't really care if it's "good" or not. ;)

Guess George finally got a part he can really get his teeth in!

This is a show where the actors eschew chewing the scenery and just gnaw on each other!

The have a neat Cannibal Website

I found George's part!

Quote
Lyrics
Hang the bastard, hang him high.
Hoist his body to the sky.
It's as nice as a day can be.
Won't you come to the hanging with me?

Hang the bastard, hang him high.
Hoist his body to the sky.
It's as nice as a day can be.
Won't you come to the hanging with me?

Hang the bastard, hang him well.
Send his sorry soul to hell.
When his neckbone snaps we'll know.
When the cannibal won't be killing anymore.

His face will turn red,
Then purple, then blue.
We'll watch from up here
To get a good view.
And when his eyes bug out we'll know,
It's the end of him
And the end of the show!

So hang the bastard, hang him with cheer.
We'll make some hot dogs
And drink a few beers.
And when his tongue rolls out we'll know,
It's the end of the show
And we all can go home!

But not till we hang the bastard, hang him here.
The most exciting thing this town has seen in years.
When his body stops jerking we'll know,
It's the end of him, it's the end of him,
It's the end of him,
And the end of the show.

[Cowbell solo]

So hang the bastard, hang him high.
Kiss his guilty butt goodbye.
It's as nice as a day can be.
Won't you come to the hanging with me?

His veins will pop out all over his head.
We'll tickle his armpits to make sure he's dead.
And when his tongue rolls out we'll know,
It's the end of him and we all can go home!

But not till we
Hang the bastard, hang him high.

Hoist his body to the sky.
When his body stops jerking we'll know,
It's the end of him, it's the end of him,
It's the end of him!
Let's get on with the show!

Hooray!

We're going to have to figure out how to post audio clips.

Why, you ask?

So George can post sound bites from the show, of course!

Get it?  Sound "bites?"

Nevermind.

Re: Spilling the Beans

Yes, spilling beans can be messy.  However, there is quite a difference between spilling a bag of dried beans (they bounce a lot, and usually a few bounce themselves under some piece of furniture, not to be found again until moving day) and spilling a can of baked beans (sound effect = "schplut").  While the latter may sound messier, it is easier to clean up, especially if you have a dog or two around.

But I'd suggest staying away from the backsides of said dog or two for a day or two, as the outbursts from said backsides can be quite deadly.

Time to head off to work.

There was a racket overhead a few minutes ago.  Geese, honking like crazy.

Nice to have them back again!
