MMM  George and Wicked.  Another connection.

It's good news week with congratulations for DR's Elmore  and George.

Thanks...and speaking of Wicked, I'm going to see it next Thursday in Seattle!  A bunch of us from work and several other friends of mine bought group tickets and got really good seats!  I can't wait! ;D

T.O.D.  First of all, let me mention what is no longer in my DVD player (because I mailed it back yesterday). It was a movie I would probably have never seen if it hadn't been for NetFlix  The film is THE BROKEN HEARTS CLUB, and I have avoided it fearing that might be yet another LOVE..VALOUR...COMPASSION.  Not at all. The movie is delightful from start to finish, the cast is good-looking and talented, and after finishing the film I decided it is a movie that I will probably want to buy so that I can watch it again and again.

Tomorrow night (in the DVD player):  A double bill of LAURA and DECEIT.

Mom is now "In Flight," with an ETA of 12:14am - tomorrow!  I've told DH Richard that if I'm going to pull an all-nighter it's going to take some Graeter's ice cream.  We'll be off soon...

Shortly I shall be on my way to Mr. Geissman's to enter corrections on Cissy Wechter's book.  I didn't know I'd be signing on for quite this much work, but I said I would so I will.

Actually, George's spiffy new avatar reminded me of the green shades the children of Jacob wore in the early 1980's revival of JOSEPH, when they did the literal and very funny representation of "When Jospeh graced the scene, his brothers turned a shade of green."

Larry - Where's a good place to have dinner next Friday night with Tomovoz and Colin?  What's near your theater so that you won't have to leave too early?

The McDonald's on 5th avenue!! :o

(Now, if you're saying "Tomovoz" you've got to say "Colinovoz" too! ;))

My copy of Simplement Sondheim (Yes, mine is the French version of the show!! :D) was mailed September 8th and arrived yesterday!
Pretty fast, hey?!

Visited Olvera Street on my first L.A. visit back in... 1971!
I don't remember much, except that it is close to the City Hall, if I'm correct!

My cd player has been jiggy with Disney music, Simply Sondheim (both cds as mentioned by Tom de Oz), some French operettas, some Ben Bagley cds and ... the last concert performed by Bing Crosby at the London Palladium with Rosie as guest star. It's just (simply?!) wonderful!
The audience sings along with Bing and even helps him remembering some of the lyrics!

Would there still be tickets available for Nuns that night DR Elmore?

Oh, I haven't told you... in case it's newsworthy, which I doubt (I doubt a lot! That's bad!)... that last night, a rather elderly guest asked his wife, while using the hotel's computer, (this is happening in France!) "will they get my message in French or in English?"

I HAD to correct my mistakes! I don't even know how to write French anymore!

Bizarre, n'est-ce pas?

DP Colin and I are attending a "Wedding" celebration this afternoon.  Friends have signed an "agreement" under English law at the British consulate here. As one of the couple has a dual British/Australian passport/citizenship,  they are entitled to have their "marriage" accepted under British law. The non British born partner will now have equal rights (eg ability to work in the UK) as does his partner.

The couple were close friends of OzDerek.

I have no idea, Fred.  I don't live in the area so it's anybody's guess.  The show's at St Clement's on 46th between 9th & 10th.

Unfortunately, all the evening shows are sold out and it's the last performance.
