Bruce - We mailed you a new script for Last Starfighter, and this should (barring anything strange happening) be the one we actually go into rehearsals with on Sept. 25th. - this is the one we've started handing out to the rest of the cast as well.

Biggest change in your part since the last one we sent you is that the battle sequence in ecene 4 of Act II has been reworked, although there are some added lines throughout the script in your part that we think you'll have lots of fun with.

Also mailed you the piano/vocals for the numbers you're involved in, one group your "big" numbers and the other where you have solo lines or are with the group.  We'll get a tape out to you VERY soon.

Great buzz among our theater friends and acquaintances about your involvement.  As always, we're very happy you're doing this.

On the sadder side of things, my brother Randy called me last night:  our suspicions last month were correct:  test confirmed my Dad did have a mild stroke which has affected his motor skills on the right side of his body.  On Tuesday, en route to his doctor's office he fell, scraped his face and arm, but luckily broke nothing.  I   spoke to him before I left for the performance and he sounds good, positive, and strong.  I'll know more when I get back in October to see him.

~~~Vibes for DR Elmore's Dad!!~~~
Elmo! I'm so glad the show went well for you last night. Big hello's to Andy. And vibes for your dad.
Bruce! Would you have some time either later today or perhaps tomorrow to crank through the play? If you're pressed for time - and we ALL know you are always pressed for time - we can do it over the internet. Whaddaya say?
CD player (car) - Simply Sondheim (I think there's going to be a lot of votes for this one!)
Count me as another listener! ;D
I also have the cast recording of Grey Gardens, which will be on my listening list at work.
In my VCR:  nothing.
In my DVD player:  Hopefully something.  My sister needs me to clean out the living/dining room so that the baseboards can be put back on (we took them off to paint the place when I moved in, two and a half years ago, but then just never put them back on ::) ).  Otherwise, I will be working on the house with very little time for viewing much of anything.  I still have "Adam & Steve" and "Third Man Out" and a couple of Netflix movies to watch.
Buenos Dias mi amigo, mi animo, mi corazon, BK --
Thanks very much for sharing about your excellent sojurn yesterday and the metro ride.  I have never yet ridden any of the new metro system over in L.A. -- it seems I always have a rental car, and it doesn't occur to me that I can leave it parked once, and try the metro!
And si, senor BK, you are still truly Macho y Guapo !!
(who am I , ..... Googie Gomez??!?!!)
Lunchtime here in the midwest!  I'm having a lovely chicken salad that DH Richard made for last night's dinner.  There was just enough left over for my lunch today.
CD -- The Last Starfighter recording, and DR Larry's wonderful and touching setting of Isn't It Romantic for the NYCGMC.  What a beautiful and enriching sound.  Oh yes dear Elmore, enriching to the soul and heart!!
DVD -- Another great Monk episode from season 2.
I enjoy the 1962 version of FOUR HORSEMEN with exactly the same reservations as Senor BK.....
Music and production - superb.....the actors acquit themselves well especially Ford and Thulin/Lansbury (not sure why she was dubbed either, I think Lansbury said they asked her because it had to be done QUICKLY and Thulin was unavailable - I forget the details, if they were EVER made public).
Yvette is bad bad bad....her idea of acting is a lot like Debra Messing's....but she IS beautiful.
I'm up, I'm up.  Loads of e-mails to sift through.  Don't be afraid to share your comments re Simply Sondheim, whether yay or nay, as I had nothing to do with its mix or production.
