I INTEND TO KEEP IT THAT WAY

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were relaxing and restful, and now it is time for you to post until the relaxed and restful cows come home.

I just watched "Adam & Steve" and I thoroughly enjoyed it!  There were several laugh out loud moments for me (well, not extremely knee-slappin' funny, but definitely better than a chuckle).  One tip, though...if you plan on watching this movie, DO NOT watch the gag reel before hand.  You don't want to see what happens out of context!! :o

Yes, that's how elmore orchestrates - he is being his orchestration - his orchestration becomes him.

I'm sure that's not DR Ben.

And not Larry's houseboy!

That's NYC's famous "Naked Cowboy" who makes upwards of $1000/day posing in the Times Square area (tips and various and sundried marketing deals)

I am what I am!  Good morning, all!  The alarm went off at 6:30, and I have a busy busy busy morning.  Actually I have a long day, most of it hopefully fun:  a trek to Toyland, a dinner with our DR FJL and Skip, a Singing Nun performance.  I'll probably hit the performance long enough to insure the sound is okay and then bail.  Tomorrow, I hopefully sleep in.

Didn't some of our beautiful HHW ladies run into him in Times Square during last year's visit?  If my failing memory recalls correctly, for a while there was a naked lady either working with him or comepeting a few years back.   Several DRs will be sorry you didn't post his PLAYGIRL shots!

Yes I will try to post a picture of the cake in the next few days. But just remember I did not decorate it (my mom did).

Now I must get ready to go. I can't believe I have to get ready so early for a noon party. But i need to pick up my brother-in-law at 10:30am so we can pick up the balloons and get to the restaurant.

It's their tradition (here at least) (filipino) to have big birthday parties. So little megan (turning 1) is expecting approximately 100 guests. Oy.

I went over last night and we tried on her birthday dress. OMG i think i will need to post a pic of that too. Cause she looked like a little rollie pollie doll. It was hysterical.

Ben - No, I didn't realize when I suggested it that was the weekend of fun doings in Shubert Alley, but I tend to find it a nice place to meet, especially if the weather is good.  (That, or the passageway of the Marriott Marquis, if the weather isn't that great.)

Sorry I won't be there for the Saturday and Sunday morning/afternoon activites - mainly because of Rosh Hashanah, and also some prep for rehearsals officially starting that Monday.

And the word of the day is: DEGUSTATION!
"For your DEGUSTATION," our waiter said in a prim but mannered tone, "might I suggest the STAID TONGUE en gelee - no cognac or vermouth have been used in it's preperation.  Thirty-seven ninety-eight."

"No, thanks," we replied, "Just the thought of it puts our GUTS ON A DIET."

Good morning!

I got up bright and early this morning in order to get the gutters in the front of my house cleaned out while it was still cool. I didn't do them in the spring, and they looked horrible. The side and back gutters are small and can be cleaned very quickly, but I didn't do it this morning. I didn't have on the right shoes, and the rungs on the ladder were hurting my feet near the end of the work.

It's going to be mid 80s today, but still in the 60s right now. I'm sitting next to an open window and really enjoying the cool fresh air.

Sunday morning greetings!  By the time we returned from moving our DS back to college in our 3-car caravan, unloading, touring his building, and taking him and his friend who helped us for Skyline chili and Graeter's ice cream, I was exhausted.  Crashed about 9pm.

Didn't some of our beautiful HHW ladies run into him in Times Square during last year's visit?....

Yes, I think it was DR Cillaliz who had an encounter with the cowboy and with a bicycle messenger (not at the same time, though...)

I had a surprise when I brought the ladder around to the front of the house to start my chore this morning. My mailbox was open, and there was a package inside. I took the mail in around 1:45 yesterday afternoon disappointed that I hadn't gotten any packages. So, the mailman must have come back at some point during the afternoon and put in the package (or a neighbor who got the package by mistake may have done it).

It was the Dick Cavett interview DVD set called HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS. So, After SHANGHAI EXPRESS, I'm sure I'll be watching the three hour Katharine Hepburn interview. I remember seeing it when it was first broadcast on consecutive nights back in the 1970s (she was there primarily to publicize THE CORN IS GREEN or was it THE GLASS MENAGERIE?). Years later, Cavett broke it down to five nightly segments, and by then I had a VCR so I taped it. Somehow, that tape got taped over, and for years I've wanted to see it again. Now I'll get my chance. (TCM will be showing it at some point in the coming weeks, too, along with interviews from this box and the previous Cavett set featuring comedians.)
