I could not agree more with you Jeanne. Wonderful imagery and writing.

A professor at a nearby school has his Writer's Block text on reserve for his writing class.

elmore, we wrap at ten tonight - we could meet at Joe Allen afterward, but I may not have much voice left, so you'll do most of the talking and I'll nod.  If that's okay, just make a reservation for table 20 under my name and I'll meet you there.  Just confirm with me here or via e-mail.

It's a date!

Today is my sister's birthday!  We're having dinner at a local restaurant in downtown Olympia called The Urban Onion.  Inside the restaurant, there's a big mural over the kitchen area with the title, The Herb and Onion.  Cute, huh? ;)

...

You mean this place?

That's it!!  It's been a while since I've had it (and they've changed owners since), but they used to have the best hashbrowns in Olympia...in my humble opinion. :D Otherwise, I love the food (that I've tried).

George-Today is Craig’s birthday and Keith’s brother’s.  I wasn’t too thrilled about that when Craig was born.

Yes, Writer's block...

It is a very interesting book. I enjoyed it!

We were discussing the craft of writing and what we saw in the media and popular books today and comparing it with the classics and discussing what worked and what didn't and I told him about your book which  I found to be a fascinating journey. I was also stuck on how to write a scene in a story I am working on and I needed some advice.

I loaned him my copy and he read the book and was very impressed and he asked he could use my copy as a reference for his students to look at in his writing class. He puts up about 20 different books for his students to read and review to observe the different styles and techniques.  He has also seen Deceit and was impressed with the different layers. I had to REALLY struggle not to give the plot away. I was proud of myself and didnt. It was fun to watch their reactions especially when you walked in....

They loved Matt and they have never seen him before at all!

Sad news about Edward Albert.  I recently watched Butterflies are Free (after reading the book about Eileen Heckart).

Is Donna M's book a memoir or a self help book or a book or pictures or what?

DR JRand - I think it's very much a memoir.  Here's some more info on:

Could you give me the name of the writing instructor and college? He sounds far better than any of the writing instructors I had!

Well, folks, I'm expecting a graduate art education class from the University of Dayton soon.  They need to learn all about grants research and then I'm off to dine with the panda lady.

Bye for now.

Fredric Brown

I love that whole sci-fi "golden age"! I've been trying for years to adapt a short story by the couple who wrote under the name "Henry Kuttner" to screen but never seem to have enough time to get very far. How does bk wear so many hats so well?
