THE WHITENING STICK

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were dazzlingly white like my teeth and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're teeth are also dazzlingly white.

I back to my computer finally. Been a crazy week. The school shooting really got things moving around the tv station. I also got wind of a job in KC doing the same thing I'm doing for twice the money, so I sent a resume and am going to persue it, and possibly move to Kansas City...soon... VERY exciting for me. It's for a fox affiliate, but I can deal. Other than that I've been learning about satellite live trucks and new $5,000 digital video cameras...fun stuff.  Just now looking back through my new york pics and realizing what an awesome and inspiring trip it was. It's like it lit a fire under me to get my life moving in the direction I want it to go. I also met some REALLY cool people from this site. You guys know who you are and you rock! Everyone have a good day, I'm off to bed.

Three posts?  And just what in tarnation am I doning up at four o'clock in the morning?  I've been up since three-thirty actually - don't know why, since I've only slept about ninety minutes so far.  Well, I'll try to go back to sleep in a few moments.  I think the Eyetalian food may be the culprit.

I got a spam e-mail this morning from "Numbers Moore".  Isn't that a great gangster name for our very own elmore?

Good morning, all!  I was up quite early since I have to be a Rockefeller Center by 9 AM for a haircut.  I'm listening to my beloved Liz Callaway sing Frank Loesser, sipping coffee, and laughing at BK's ultrabrite teeth.

DR jhvw, best of luck with the KC job!  I hope you get it.

Yesterday I laid out the Brain's Act One Finale and entered all the vocal lines.  I shall continue with Act One today.  I've booked an airlines ticket to Ohio at the end of the month to visit my Dad, and I want to have all the score laid out before I go.  When I go, I'll take the December holiday concert charts for the New York City Gay Men's Chorus and finish them, return to New York and continue work on "The Brain."

This afternoon, I have to pick up an emergency job for the New Haven Symphony; this will take very little time over the weekend, but it's one more orchestra to have my resume and for me to have on my resume.

TOD:
DVD:  Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Manon (Australian Ballet), All the King's Men
CD:  Liz Callaway, Guy Haines, Jule Styne in Hollywood, Susan Egan, Mozart Piano Concerti
  VHS:  Cheap porn

I've always thought that certain Eye-talian food dishes sound like gangster names.

Clams Casino

Oysters Rockefeller

Veal Scallopini, etc...

I heard that there was 10 inches of the white stuff that is claimed by some to be snow in NY yesterday.  Of course, I still think the pictures are doctored up because I've never seen it.;)

DVD Player: The Tommy Steele Story
I ordered this from a company called Video Beats, which specializes in 50's and 60's rock and roll movies. I loved Tommy Steeke as a musical comedy star, but here he's singing his rock & roll hits. I'm surprised at how out of tune he is...some time he'll belt out a final note and it's REALLY flat!

The other strange thing is, his whole life story is told in calypso!

I'm a huge calpyso fan, so I'm enjoying it from that aspect the most. I had no idea that calypso and rock and roll ever bred.

CD player: Mercer, Guy Haines and more Mercer in current rotation in my 5-disc changer.

I believe Mr. Haines sings Mercer lyrics on both of his solo CDs - If I Had My Druthers and I'm Past My Prime.

Where are our gangster names?  We've got Numbers Moore, which is perfection.  And where in tarnation are Rodzinski and TPunk?

Just so you know what poor elmore is dealing with, the finale of Act One is something like 180 bars long.

'Morning BK!  You shouldn't be up this early.  Dawn is just breaking where I am.  I wish you could see the lovely sunrise I'm looking at.  I forgot my camera or I would try to take a snap shot of it for you.

Gangster names--I'll have to think about that.

In sort of good/bad news--I put in for another job as a lark because one of the gals I now work with drives me crazy.  I knew if I put in for it she would--I don't wish her ill, I just wish her gone.  Anyway, guess who got called to go interview yesterday and who didn't?

I'm thinking I'll go.  It would be good experence since I haven't interviews for anything in several years but I'm not sure what I'll do if I get it.

I have everything settled where I am about getting off from work at 4:30 to catch the early bus home, etc so I'm not sure I want to mess all that up by taking a new job.  We'll see.

And the word of the day is: BARMECIDAL!
Casey would waltz
With a strawberry blonde
And the barmedical music came from nowhere
Because the band was taking a break.

DR EDISAURUS - this is a fine day for your screening.  No need to suffer from what DR CILLA LIZ mentioned yesterday....

With the Sun AND Venus trining Neptune, help is available and there is new energy for projects.
Mars sextiles Saturn AND Pluto so now is the time to take projects to the next level.

That's better than being blinded by his buns of steel!   ;D

"Scissors" Edie for DR EDISAURUS

I'll cut you!!!!

Actually, some of my clients call me "The Blender", because they throw a bunch of random clips my way which are then tranformed into a rich, creamy goodness.

But "The Blender" doesn't sound nearly as gangster-y as "Scissors". I LIKE it!
