They just showed that Citibank ad during NUMBERS, which normally stars Judd Hirsch (?), but Judd Hirsch isn't on the show this week.

Interesting that we were talking about turkey carcasses, and the ad at the top of the page is for the play VOYAGE OF THE CARCASS.

I did not get up early this year for the big shopping day, but later in the morning I took my mom to Lazy Boy so that she could purchase a new recliner as hers sort of broke or something this last week.

DR MBarnum, what were you doing in it?

I have returned from Toyland, and I will now watch GHOST WHISPERER and turn in.  I have a full day with The Brain tomorrow.

G'night!

No GHOST WHISPERER spoilers here, but keep Kleenex handy just in case.  This one really got to me.

I finished up WATCH THE SKIES!, the documentary about sci-fi movies of the 1950s. Not bad but it was much too broad a topic to be covered in depth in an hour long documentary.

In getting ready for the trip to Los Angeles I wanted to see a couple of Kevin Spirtas movies since he is the star of BKs play. As I don't watch soaps I have not seen much of Kevin Spirtas other then in the movie GREEN PLAID SHIRT (which was quite good) which I rented a few years ago.

Well, now I have seen much more of Kevin Spirtas then I ever thought possible...I am watching his 1997 film STRIKING RESEMBLENCE. I did not know that Kevin Spirtas made such naughty films! Except for the lack of a "money shot" (so far!) this movie could just about be considered X rated.

Well, I guess I had better get back to my movie now! Hee hee!

Next I watched a few episodes from the ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN set's first disc. Among those was one of my all-time favorites "The Town That Wasn't There," a fun crime caper about a portable town.

GHOST WHISPERER had an unsettling story about the angry spirit of an ex-professional baseball player.

Are the spirits always angry that Jennifer has to deal with during the show? This one made me very uncomfortable.

I spent the rest of the evening finishing off the episodes on THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN's first disc.

Sad to say, though the episodes look sharp, the elements used for the set aren't in the best shape. The color varies wildly from one shot to the next. Some are very sharp and have excellent color, and then the very next shot will appear washed out or have the right side of the frame faded while the left side looks OK.

Very disconcerting quality from shot to shot and scene-to-scene.

Rodzinski and I went to see For Your Consideration this evening.  Funny.  I enjoyed it more than A Mighty Wind, but not as much as Best in Show or Waiting for Guffman.  Catherine O'Hara was great.

But I'm hoping that stopping for a large french vanilla coffee from Dunkin' Donuts on my way in will cure me of that.

I think that between all the leftovers I snacked on today, I have eaten more than I did yesterday.  Although today I only had one helping of dessert instead of two.
